Chinese at Stony Brook?

<p>Hello! I'm a high school senior right now hoping to go to Stony Brook - Just one question though! I scored a 78 on the Spanish regents, which means I'm going to have to take a language course if I go to Stony. Does this mean I have to take Spanish again? Can I start over with Chinese instead? I'm much more interested in learning a language like Chinese (I have Chinese relatives and friends and I'd love to be able to speak the language)</p>

<p>Stony Brook offers numerous language options. You probably won’t find such diverse options outside of the University setting.</p>
