Chinese or Korean SAT 2

Hey I was just wondering if you guys know any books or websites that could prepare me for the Chinese or Korean sat2 (I'm most likely going to take chinese though).

I don't think there are any SAT II prep books for the tests you mentioned.
However, the following link contains useful websites for learning chinese.

SAT Subject Test in Chinese with Listening Web Resources

And here's a link for studying Korean.

SAT Subject Test in Korean with Listening Web Resources

^ ty, but u guys know any that teaches you stuff strictly on the sat?

maybe you can get the "real sat sugject tests" by collegeboard, i know that they only have 1 pratice test for each subject but at least familiarize yourself with the test format! there is a CD for the listening section, so maybe it will help!

I considered taking the Chinese test for a bit, until my mom read that all the Chinese native speakers taking the test will lower your percentile and it won't look as impressive to colleges anyway (as, say, chemistry or whatever).

Still, the test is easy for me, even with only 2.5 years of formal study of Chinese, so if you're great at Chinese/Korean, go for it. An 800 surely can't HURT your chances.

if you're asian, don't take either. if you're not, go for it. colleges don't give a crap if you aced chinese or korean, if that's your native language

Definently consider taking it if you know you'll do well, however, native speakers for most languages (except latin) affect the percentiles. An 800 on the Chinese is at 54 percentile, while a 790 brings the percentile down to 41. Likewise an 800 on Korean is at 65 percentile. This is quite different than Literature and US History where an 800 is both at 99 percentile. Anyways, if you think you'll be successful, don't hesitate, depending on the school (upper tiers will look at your percentile more) these can be good tests to take.

Try taking sample tests like the one from Collegeboard's booklet. I went to take it without studying at all. But I do have to mention that I'm chinese, but was boring in the USA. I did go to Chinese school and is taking Mandarin courses at school. I have to say it was relatively easy.. besides the listening part. I scored the lowest on that part. It's true that even if you get a 800, the percentage is still low. I got a 790 and the percentage was like ... Oh well.
