Hi,new member here. Wondering if you guys could chance me for Choate.

GPA= 3.9ish
EC'S= Football,Basketball,Track, Young Republicans,Violin
Rec's- I expect they will be very good
Interview- Haven't had it yet, should be o.k.
Com. Service- Plenty
Awards- Not a whole lot that is unrelated to sports
SSAT= Haven't taken it yet but have gotten an average of 90 percentile on the practice tests so I'm hoping I'll get around 80-85 on the actual thing
Not a legacy, will need some financial aid
Applying for 9th

and Choate is really the only school I am interested in, if I do no get in I will just go to the local high school.

you should still apply to more schools...........these school are all very selective and tehy could be looking for people that dnt fir you criteria...........

mickmouse- i completely understand what your saying, but for me if I don't get into Choate I would rather just go to public h.s. I would be day student and I'm not interested in boarding.I am also considering Taft but I don't feel like it is a perfect fit.

senay- lol, the young democrat program at our school is about 5 times the size as the young republican program. although at this point I actaully support Obama, the young republic program did give me a good opportunity of debating from my own opinions, versus the young democrats who as a whole seemed to just make the same points over and over...
please note I joined before palin came into play as well..

lol. no i just mean that statistics show most republicans are white, upper to upper-middle class people. so since you need financial aid, its unusual for you to be a republican.
