Choate Interview

I have my choate interview in a couple days and I don't know what to wear! please help!

a nice skirt and shirt

For me, I wore slacks/pants (black), white button-down shirt, and a navy cardigan.
A nice skirts/slacks, button-down shirt, and a blazer/sweater would be nice :)

Hope this helps!
Good luck! :)

I wore a black skirt, a white button down, tights, and then some nice earrings. I wore a black peacoat on the outside. My sister wore this grayish skirt, white shirt, black cardigan, tights, and also a peacoat. As long as you look presentable you should be fine, also do not wear uggs unless there is snow on the ground. Although based on the snow today, there probably will still be snow on the ground by your interview, so boots would be ok.

i wore a skirt with tights underneath, boots, and a formal-ish jacket

We were there a few weeks ago, and all the students were dressed in black and white. It was uncanny. Is black and white the new navy? At any rate, you may want to stand out in a good way and break from the mold. Any nice dress or skirt and blouse and jacket would be nice. They have a lot of snow on the ground right now, so definitely good walking boots!

We don’t have a certain color of dress for our dress code, it was just coincidence that everyone you saw there was wearing black and white. I’m wearing red today, lol.

I recommend looking up the dress code for girls and just wearing that.

Look at the viewbook for ideas. My daughter wore a grey skirt, white blouse and black cardigan to her interviews. She fit right in with the rest of the student body.

zp

The northeast got over a foot of snow over the past few days.Dress reasonably warm, it doesn’t seem advisable to wear a skirt since you’ll be on a tour that’s mostly outside and it will probably be windy.

I say wear slacks/khaki pants with a nice shirt with a cardigan under a jacket. Be a smart dresser. Good walking shoes too.

Don’t wear uggs unless you’ve water proofed them and they’re not very bold, they have a negative connotation.

Yeah we’re covered in like a foot and a half of snow. It’s kind of ridiculous, really.
