It does, azulhearts. That helps alleviate a lot of my nervousness! I thought for a minute I would be the dork who couldn’t find anything!

Oh…I almost forgot! I heard you guys did the trips to Six Flags in the fall and spring, but what else do you do as fun, bonding trips?

Haha don’t worry about it! It usually takes people a while to figure out where everything is. (You are NOT expected to remember where everything is from your tour or revisit day =P I sure didn’t)

The SAC (student activity center) offers a couple six flags trips during the year on Sundays but it is open to whoever wants to go, not necessarily a huge school trip (that would be a sight though if it was!). But as for other trips, there’s a wide variety. There’s always a Wallingford shuttle on the weekends that you can take to the movies or Walmart and such. There is frequently mall trips if you like shopping =) I think once a year there’s a laser tag trip, deep sea fishing trip, a skiing trip, etc. Also a few times a year there are New Haven trips as well as New York trips. Those are the ones I can think of on the top of my head but there are more! Don’t worry haha Hope that gives you a taste of what to look forward to =)

gahhh! 74 days left!!

Wow BronxKid-I never actually counted down the days-but thanks for the info!

quick question, on the forms we had to fill out choosing a sport and our electives, is that set in stone, i kinda changed my mind and might want to join a Capella ( i prolly spelled it wrong) group… is it still possible?

sport: not at all~ you can switch if you don’t like your sport. Though you have to do it before a certain date i believe. It’s really easy: you just go to the athletic office and ask if you can switch sports and they should be able to do it unless that particular sport is full.
elective: (you mean classes?) you would want to change those as soon as possible but try to do that at least a term in advance =) but for fall terms electives, do that as fast as possible before you get comfortable with all your classes haha you’re schedule might get messed up.
You have to audition for A Capella groups and they rehearse usually during the evenings or weekends. A Capella groups and class electives shouldn’t conflict =) Hope that answers your question

And is Boston a popular student destination on weekends? are students even allowed to go that far? My friends (really close) are going to schools up in NH (SPS and Exeter) and Boston is the ideal place to meet up.

I don’t think Boston is that popular considering it’s pretty far. Regardless, you would need to get a day permission or sign out for however long you would be gone. You should get a packet from Choate with certain permission forms (for example, you would check a box that says your parents have to call in saying they give permission for you to go or that they don’t and you are free to go whenever [but you’d still need to sign out at school]) Otherwise, you can go as frequently as you want =)

new student placements are out!! where did you guys get placed into?

Ummm…Fall! What about you?
