Choosing Courses

Hey guys, my orientation is on the 18th of June. I'm planning on going the pre-med/biology route.

Not really sure what courses I should focus on. While I want to be prepared for medical school, I also want a blow off course or two.

Advice/suggestions please?

Careful how you view blow off classes, you'll still need to focus on those, or theyll catch u by surprise.

Your schedule will depend on how AP credits u have. For a bio major, youll need up to calc 2. So if u dont have AP Calc credit, youll have to take that (Calc 1 = Math 215, Calc 2 = Math 216). If you have AP Chem credit, then youll go straight to orgo (Chem 210/211), otherwise, take General Chem (Chem 130/125/126). If you are in honors college, youll have to take Great Books; otherwise, take ur English requirement (English 124 OR 125). Thats 3 classes, so it leaves 1 more for whatever u choose to take.

Thanks for the advice.

I earned credit in the following AP Courses: US Government & Politics, Biology, English Literature

Not sure how much that changes it.

Well, you wont have to take Bio 162. Which is a good thing, cause i heard that class is a beast.
