I didn't know until today that there was a separate response required for the CHP, so I sent an email just now confirming that I wish to enroll in the program. Will my spot be taken away :-(? I sent in my SIR on April 9, but there was no mention that I needed to reply separately to the Honors program :-/.

Call em up. Well maybe wait till Monday since they're probably not open now.

Yeah, I plan on doing so. I'm a little worried, though. Has this kind of thing ever happened? Is it likely that my admission to the program will be revoked on these grounds :-/?

If you didn't submit your CHP application, then you just end up going to UCI without CHP. I don't think not sending a CHP application would revoke your admissions..

Well, I was invited without applying, went to Honors Experience Day, etc.

My dilemma is not that I haven't submitted an application, it's that I hadn't accepted the program's offer by the May 1 deadline.

granted I'm not an authority on the subject, but I doubt you'll have any problems, just call them up and explain what happened. CHP admin people do tend to be pretty reasonable.

Thank you :). Will do.

atracy6677,

The way that it works is that if you were invited to the CHP and you send in a positive SIR, they will assume that you will be participating in the CHP unless you tell them otherwise. Go ahead and contact them anyway, but don't worry about your spot. It's still yours.

Feel free to PM me if you have any other administrative CHP questions.

Thank you very much, alicantekid :).
