Does anyone have information about the scholarship? The invitation does not explain much except that it begins at 8:00 and ends at 3:30. That sounds like a long day. What does the competition involve?

There is another thread about this. Look on CCM page 2, about 7 threads down. If that doesn't give you enough info., perhaps you could write someone who says that their child has done it.

At financial aid information session at CCM audition, staff told us the Cincinnatus competition was 2 hours devoted to writing an essay and then a small group discussion session.

Hi Chelle, It is a long day, and it is also used as an introductory opportunity for parents and potential students to get oriented to UC, although not much specifically about CCM. We were able to take an informal tour of CCM, and my daughter was able to attend a few classes, whcih was not scheduled per se, but she ran into a friend in the hall who invited her in to watch an acting class.
I remember it was quite crowded for the Cincinnatus we attended in early Feb.

Hi chelle,

My son was awarded a Cincinnatus Scholarship last year. It is a very long day buy well worth it. It consists of essay writing, leadership skills and interviews. Good luck! Have you been accepted to CCM? S is a MT major. Any other questions feel free to PM me.

How does one get invited to participate in the cincinnatus competition? I am assuming you must wait to see if your accepted first. When does it take place?

I believe that once you have applied, and it's established that you have been in the top 10% of your academic standing in your graduating class, you are automatically invited to participate in Cincinnatus. This invitation happened in my d's case before she was accepted.

thank you for your response.
