City of Hope anyone?

I filter everything into labels on gmail, so college adverts show up under one label, and research programs show up as a separate unread notification.

I highly doubt that they’ll call me, as international calls (US -> China) are expensive, at least, from what I’ve heard. Hopefully, that doesn’t count against me. >.>

sigh 4 left.

Does anyone know if we’ll find out today? I really don’t want to wait over the weekend gah.

Heh, I suppose your SIMR showing means that that post is moot now.

As for me, still awaiting a decision from CoH and two other programs. >.<

Pretty much. I am in utter disbelief. 99% sure I’m going to SIMR. Though City of Hope’s stipend is tempting…

But @shadow good luck! I really hope one of these programs works out for you!

Thanks leah, and congrats again on SIMR. I sent CoH an email; hopefully they’ll respond soon with a definite answer so I can either move on or look for an interview.

Been a while. Anyone get anything yet?

I sent them an email too… Still nothing.

sigh I want to send them another email, but I’m afraid that it’ll look obsessive (which it is). I’ll probably wait till Thursday, then send another.

I’ve given up on them. I’ll email them and withdraw my application tomorrow. I just committed to SIMR  good luck shadowyam I really hope you get it!

I’m just hoping that no news means no bad news.

Anyone else get anything recently?

Wow, I have not been on CC for a long while! Hope all of you high school seniors got into great colleges and programs!

I just got a snail mail from CoH today for second round. Seems like they are running a bit slow this year. Let me know if any of you actually got official emails.

So for the people who are waiting, be on the lookout for snail mail!

@Athene: As in an invitation to interview for the second round, or an acceptance past that?

Also, when’d they send the letter? I live in China … >.> <.<

got my acceptance letter to the second round through the snail mail too! never received any official email tho

the letter says the official acceptance letter will be sent by the end of April but I just got the letter today, this certainly place us snail mail receivers at a disadvantage against those who received acceptance through emails…

Can someone post a link to the info about the high school program? I can’t seem to find it.

thanks.

ok - found it - nevermind.

I just got the finalist letter. It says they took 130/1200 to this round. I’m not going to pursue it though, because I’ve already committed to SIMR. Maybe next year :)

I just realized that I used an American address (Campbell CA) and phone number on the app. … >.> <.< Which means that I shouldn’t be hoping for a letter in my mailbox or a call, but should be hoping that family friends to send an email. …

Nothing yet though … hopefully it’s because of USPS’s money issues and sketchy delivery times.

Has anyone else that has received the acceptance letter to the second round confirmed a position yet? Or are you all still waiting for interview results?

@shadowyams, maybe you should contact your family friend to see if they received any letter? One of my classmates just received letter thru snail mail today

just curious, how many professors did you guys contact? to what extent is it spamming?

Anyone confirmed positions?

I sent them an email telling them that it’d be easier to send any decisions directly to me by email. Turns out, I got past the 1st round.

Time to email all the open researchers. >.>
