hey I would like to know what would be the I-Banking scene for Claremont McKenna. I know geographics obvs. play a factor, but I would choose CMC over an Ivy if they could place just as well into I-banking, which I would like to pursue. I love the school, love how it is only 800 people, not a huge bunch, but also how it isn't like an East Coast LAC with attitudes and stuffy intellectualism and all that stuff. and oh yes, the weather.

How I wish they had Ivy-tier schools in the SoCal

Pomona, CMC, Berkeley, and Stanford all place at least fairly well into IBanks, CMC actually has a list of what each graduate from last year ends up doing(Job List/Grad school list), and there were plenty of IBankers.

And yes I am aware Stanford and Berkeley aren't 'really' SoCal, but they do still have great weather and are in Cali.

Stanford places on par with Harvard, slightly over Wharton at mosts BB firms (keep in mind Wharton has fewer people overall). More than fairly well.

I've also had two cousins at Berkeley receive internships at Goldman Sachs, although those aren't Southern California.

But CMC does place well into ibanking, especially now that many firms have decided to actively pursue liberal arts majors. You probably aren't getting as many people in as an Ivy, but that's likely because more people are interested in investment banking at Ivies instead of liberal arts colleges in the first place.
