Any one out there living in Clark Kerr?

haha. i saw your post about this on another forum.

me + clark kerr = 9 days

Me too! Have you found out your building placement? What kind of room do you have? Are you a transfer student?

I'm in a double in Building 12. My roommate was requested. She's already a student at Cal (rising sophmore), so she was able to reserve the room we're staying in last semester. She told me which room it was, but I forget the exact number.

Yes, I'm a transfer student.

Cool, I think I am in building 10 or 11...I forgot. I got a single...do you think that is a bad thing in that the social element might go down a notch or two?

I'm sure you will just have to make the extra effort to meet people instead of holing up in your spacious single (which could be tempting, at least to me, considering i'm not used to sharing, heh). Not everyone is friends with their roommate, so just because you won't have one doesn't mean you won't make friends.

Are you in a quiet hall? I think building 10 may be quiet...I'm not sure though.

What are you bringing to your dorm? I know CKC generally has more space for extra items.

<3,

Izzie Bear

Dude, I got so much stuff. Literally, my living room is packed full of dorm "neccesities." I have two sets of twin xl sheets, towels, pilows, a comforter, a mini fridge, a microwave, a plethora of school supplies, a printer, printer paper, a computer (desktop), toiletries, gym bag, too many shoes, a desklamp, and probably more that I can't think of right now. LOL. I'm so excited.

By the way Izzie, I live like 20 minutes away from you. Just out of curiousity, did you apply to UC Santa Cruz?

I did, as a safety, but had no real intererst in attending. What about you? My back up UC was UCDavis. I didn't apply to UCLA. Born and raised there as a child, and had no interest going back.

I am the same way with the dorm stuff. I'm a nutcase. I'm bringing a laptop (powerbook), but my dad got me a nice speaker set with a subwoofer so I can play music louder than the laptop speakers will allow. I'm also bringing a TV, printer, mini fridge, floor lamp (with five heads), desklamp, along with a little lamp that clips to the wooden frame on the bed for night-time reading, two sets of twin xl sheets, comforter, body pillow....I could go on. Of course I've also gone nuts with school supplies, new clothes and tioletries. I may be overpacking, but I've been like this all my life.

My roommate is bringing a dvd player, a microwave and a comfy chair. Apparently, our room is quite large. She checked it out before she reserved it.

What city are you from, if you don't mind me asking?

<3,

"I am the same way with the dorm stuff. I'm a nutcase. "

Me too, girl. BAHAHAHAH. I thought I was the only fruitloop but I guess not. Hmmm a TV? I wonder how that would work out in the dorm....do you think there is some sort of shelving or furniture that would accomadate a TV? Now I want to bring mine too. LoL.
I should get a comfy chair too..hmmm.

Im from Carmel Valley. Although I realize this may seem a little random, my stepdad is from Scotts Valley...so yeah...I know your vicinity. LMAO.

Yes I see the typo. Yes I am a lazy typer. Ok bye

Awesome; my uncle lives in carmel valley - we visit pretty often, it's absolutely beautiful.

I think we're just going to put the TV on top of one of the dressers. I have the option of bringing a 27 inch or a 20 inch, and while I would love to go with the larger one, I'm thinking about the smaller one to conserve space and make it easier on those who are helping me into my dorm room next weekend.

I am having a tough time parting with some of my clothes. I have no idea what is too little and what is too much.

<3,

Izzie Bear

hey izzie, im in building 8...you mind if i come to your dorm and watch tv... cuz i dont want to miss some of my favorite shows?

cool, which shows do you like?

p.s. if you were being serious, i'm totally up for meeting new people and sharing the television. i'm not dragging this huge thing up there for nothin'.
