Shafted???

I just got my housing anouncement and it seems that i'm staying in a triple at clark kerr. Is this going to suck (i.e. not enough space, lack of social life, etc.)? Should I stick with what i got (although it was not one of my choices) or fight for a different room. I might add that i think i'm pretty outgoing.

They tend to be big. Is it a suite?

Nope, not a suite

CKC triples are actually pretty decent. The two CKC triples on my floor managed to separate the bunks so that all three beds are on the floor, and still have plenty of room for desks/bookshelves/etc. I'd say just see how it is, and if you don't like it after you've settled in, try to file a transfer request.

Clark Kerr isn't too socially lacking, but the units are much more fun.

I got a triple at CK too! Yeah, I'm not a party animal or anything, but my first choice was a unit double for the social atmosphere... I hope CK isn't dead :(
I'm not going to try to transfer... I hear it's really difficult to switch rooms. Also, CK has the best food (or so I hear) and walking is good for you! Boooo freshman 15! Or you can take the bus.

Eek! Now I just have to worry about my roomate... I hope they don't stink. :-/

Clark Kerr triple here too. How bad is the distance from the campus? And does one floor share a bathroom like the Units?

Clark Kerr triple here too, it wasnt even one of my choices...

CK is only ~6 blocks from campus. Super safe/nice lively neighborhood.

CK has its own pool and there is a soccer field above it. It's a nice little campus. I wish I were able to start at CK, back when I was a student, I couldn't even get into the Units as a freshman (besides having to walk uphill in both directions in 2 feet of snow of course), there was a lottery for dorm spots.

oh guys trip at clark kerr is not shafted. They dont even have bunks it's so big. It's more roomy than a unit double.

I've never been in one, but seen one from outside. It looked a lot like a unit double space wise, and that's fine.
