Class of '13 Applicants to NYU!

hmm... that might be me, because I have strong ECs, but my GPA is a bit below avg.

Thanks.

hey im kim from nj, applied nyu ed as a history major in CAS...just nervous and waiting for a letter or the oh so wonderful post card your suppose to get if they are going to accept you....ahhh

Damn Bryan. Nice essay. You're making the rest of us look bad with our one line post lmao.

Just got back from work. So tired guys. <_<

Bryan - the fact that you are a jew makes me want to be your best friend! I love jewish guys! (and yes everybody, this is me stereotyping) haha

Go to sleep Carina, you're probably getting all lazy-eyed by now lmao.

Ok guys, I have a secret. I actually don't sleep. Ever. I invented a pill that allows one's brain to repair itself while awake while all higher body functions remain unaffected. Unfortunately, this breakthrough was accomplished just hours after submission of my application to NYU, so it never made it onto my resume. I have neglected to mention it simply because of the sheer frustration that I encounter when I think about how inconvenient the sequence of events played out. So NYU admissions officers, if you're reading this - I'm a genius. Almost to the extent of Frank...

Haha yes I MUST be lazy-eyed by now. In the proper state of mind I doubt that I would have written that previous segment, and I doubt that I would still be writing right now. Vacations just really mess with my internal clock.

haha too bad you didn't go compete in the olympics
it's late now, get some sleep :D perhaps you will get a big package tomorrow lol
glad it's already monday afternoon here lmao

I'm not tired though!! Oh, not fair. Good luck, hope for a nice package yourself!

"Bryan - the fact that you are a jew makes me want to be your best friend! I love jewish guys! (and yes everybody, this is me stereotyping) haha"

I gotta be honest rstlne, this kinda made my day. In this case, I think you will be pretty damn happy at NYJew. Oh, and we'll totally take the stereotypes, as long as they are positive.

Um, DUH like number one reason to go to NYU! (I mean, after the education...) :)

Haha... your hilarious! Just incase you were wondering... NYU has 4000 Jews undergrad, or 21%. More total Jews than any other private university.

I'm liking these statistics! Ha and Syracuse is my 2nd choice...I hear it's pretty nice there too. Lol

Yeah, I know alot of people who are applying there! Since I am a New York City snob, I refused to apply anywhere north of Westchester (in the state of NY). My number 2 and 3 are Michigan and Carnegie Mellon, but I applied to 9 schools, because I figured that if I got rejected from all of my reach schools, I would at least have a choice.

Ok, I feel better now. NYU sent me an e-mail saying they didn't have my transcript but today I mailed (or the school is mailing) another copy priority mail and I faxed a copy to them today in the meantime while it arrives. So, my application can now officially be reviewed! Now to wait. I hope it doesn't delay the time it takes them to notify me. ; ;

It might... but you should hear by Dec 15th anyway. So, no biggie.

UWisconsin lost my transcripts, and it has taken me much longer to hear from them b/c o it.

NYU has a big Jewish population, most of them come from Long Island, which has a majority Jewish population. Actually, most of the white people that I know are Jewish. So, meeting a Jew isn't exactly a rare occasion like in the South lmao.

I was planning on applying to Syracuse as a backup, but I realized that I can't stand upstate New York: freezing cold, sun never comes out, and it's in the middle of nowhere. So right now, it's either NYC or Boston for me.

1) I LOVE the cold
2) I love overcast weather
3) I love the color orange

:D

Oh yeah we had a discussion about this already. lol

Well... rstlne, we are live in the south, so the city will seem cold and overcast to us. But I cant help you with the color orange. sorry.

well, I was just referring to how syracuse could be a great fit for me, too.
but,
PURPLE>ORANGE
