wow, its weird that i dont c any intl applicants in this thread, i wonder what happened.ok im winston from taiwan, but lives in china. studied in intl schools since i began first grade. im still considering on whether to apply ED to stern or use the chance on some other schools(you know y, Stern is like the hardest business school to get into besides wharton, is that true?)well, i heard that there are a lot of asians in nyu, so im not afraid of not fiiting in.glad to meet other nyu applicants here, but i honestly dont think i have a big chance getting into stern.it's just too s*** hard..

You can do it! Lol you know, being international must be tough, not getting any financial aid and all. How do you guys manage?

Yeah sorry I haven't posted in a while. It's been crazy lately. You guys all ready for next week's SATs? It's our last shot! I would kill for a 1400, hopefully all the studying (that I started yesterday heh) will pay off.

I'm going to start studying for my SAT Subject Tests today after our powderpuff football game (where I'm starting WR and kick reciever and a backup RB).

Hey guys. I'm David, and I'm from Long Island NY. I'm going for the Recorded Music major at Tisch (even though they only take like 32 people out of 600+ applicants). Anyway, good luck to everyone.

What's powderpuff football? Never heard of it, is it basically like football for girls? Like how softball is girls' baseball?

Hey David hows it going! Good luck man, hopefully we'll see each other at Tisch

Yep. Powderpuff is girls' football. We have one game during homecoming (spirit) week where the juniors play the seniors (and lose). It's supposed to be flag football, but a lot of us tackle our friends (or people we really don't like). No helmets or pads, since it's flag football. But not like a team, just a one day thing.

Good luck David.

Hahaha oh I see, it gets all the cattyness out of girls. Good idea, should bring that to NY lol. My school doesn't even have a football team actually, even though we have over 30 varsity sports teams. We have a football field though, but it's used for soccor and track instead. Football really isn't that big in NY, besides the super bowl season.

wow i dont know what i would do without football to watch every friday!

I don't either, even though one of the schools in our city is state champions, our school is HORRIBLE!!! We lost on homecoming. I was a cheerleader from 7-11th grade and quit for 12th grade because I was tired of putting hundreds of dollars into cheering for a losing team. lol. That's too bad HS football isn't too big in NY, does NY HS's have javelin for track? Michigan doesn't.

We don't have homecoming here, the biggest school event is probably like the Pep Rally. There's like 5000 kids in my school, we don't really have that much school spirit compared to you guys, haha. There's no cheerleaders, there's no lockers (except in the locker room), it's basically nothing like how high school is portrayed in TV and movies.

I'm not sure about javelin, but we have field events. I know we have throwing discs.

You know I always wanted to go to an small school for a day, things must be totally different.

That actually sounds cool going to a big high school. I wouldn't think you have all of the high school drama. At my school, there are about 1300 students: enough to still not know everyone, but few enough to know most peoples' business.

Wait, what's the pep rallies for if not for football? We have a pep rally on home football Fridays when we play (and lose to) a rival team. Do you guys have pep rallies for other sports or is it just 'cuz?

I throw discus and shot in HS, but if I decide to continue with track in college, I would throw javelin and discus because I'm not big enough to throw the other ones. (And I don't want to get bigger.)

Haha there's still a lot of drama (I'm a Peer Mediator at my school, I have to deal with all the fights and stuff and solve their issues), just that there's tons of seperate individual drama happening at the same time. Yeah, like ninety percent of the people I pass by in the halls, I've never seen them before. So, for me it'll be a whole different experience to to actually know everyone's business. We should trade places for a day, lol.

Well we only have 1 pep rally a year. It's to encourage kids to join clubs and teams. Our track team is number 1 in New York City. :)

soo.. Hi people....

yea....

Hi hkkxp.

Well, I'm going to talk to the University of Michigan counselor now. In case I can't afford or get into NYU.

I'm the typical NYU applicant: gay male, social deviant, casual law-breaker, etc.
I want to apply to Gallatin and combine interests in marketing and languages to do something with business internationally.
