yes, most would say that it is REALLY cold here. like now, it's probably about 30-35 degrees.

It has been unseasonably warm since about Christmas or so. Sucks because the Super Bowl is coming, and for that I would say they either want high 20s or 50s and no rain. Anything in-between will suck.

It's not that bad here in MI. Like dsmo says, it's been unseasonably warm here this winter. The weather is weird this year, the snow doesn't seem to stay on the ground more than a week. Then again, for the past couple years we had winters where the mercury rarely went above 25-degree mark. The cold weather isn't that bad, honestly. You get used to it fast. Spring and fall are absolutely beautiful.

Woo just got my acceptance today! Been waiting for over 16 weeks, guess I was in that second batch. So excited. 99% im going to attend. From Tampa, FL, so weather might be alittle bit of a change for me, at least no Hurricanes! Can't wait to see you all next year.

I was accepted shortly before Christmas, but haven't made up my mind. I'm from a small high school in Southwest Missouri. I will likely attend if I get admitted to the Honors Program. They asked me to send in an essay, so I wasn't on the automatic invite list. I also applied to the Preferred Admit Program at the Ross School of Business. I probably won't make a final decision until April.

This is gonna sound terrible, but I'm actually debating between Michigan and State. Someone smack me, please. It's just that U of M won't give me any money (not a cent) and I might have a chance for some at state. As much as I'd prefer Michigan, an undergrad debt of 160k or so, plus another few years of med school after that just isn't very appealing to me. Congrats to all of you who're going! Maybe you'll see me on campus next fall, maybe not. We'll see.

i haven't receive my acceptance pacakage yet! how come it's taking so long? even if the postman swam across the pacific it would've reached here by this morning...

soumanyon- I'm in your same situation. I'm gonna go to that ADS thing and see what I can do about some scholarship money.

I heard that if you get a frozen fish in Michigan during winter time and hit it hard on a rock, it actually splits in half...
Michigan AA Engineering, i'm in
but needa wait for MIT stuff first!
email me to highfive414@gmail.com
maybe we'll get to meet each other next school year!

I don't know how you are coming up with $160k as the cost of Michigan for an in-state student. I'd say you are looking at a little bit less than half that number.

But that's still about $20,000 more than MSU.

just got my acceptance into engineering. but unfortunately, i dun know if i'll be seeing any of you this fall.

soumanyon, are you in state? If so, Michigan won't be a $160k debt, and if not, then why are you even considering State? For an OOS student, there are way better schools to go to for better prices and I'm not sure why State would be on your list.

I paid last week. I'll see you guys this fall.

chibearsfan17 what other colleges are there that is better than umich engineering except for like MIT? I'm international, by the way.

My only concerns are the tuition (I'm OOS from California) and the inevitable harsher weather in Michigan...
