And have you received financial aid details?

yay, i got my acceptance today! i live on long island in ny for reference.

Rejected. Sad, but not too sad. I got into my other first choice, so I'm taking this as a good learning experience. Congrats to those accepted, and those waitlisted/rejected, we can commiserate. Good luck to all!

Congratulations to all who were accepted, and to the rest, know that there is something just wonderful out there for you, too!

Does anyone know if the letters will reach Texas today?

To those rejected--

I am very sorry, but you'll end up somewhere great nevertheless!
And

Were your letters mailed two-day post? I haven't gotten anything yet!

whaaaaat nothing in chicago yet, just checked the mail-- so I guess I have to wait until MONDAY

LonelyFishbowl, I'm with you. Nothing in Georgia yet. I abhor the fact that there is no post on Sundays!

Monday's the dreaded day, then. Amherst, Vanderbilt, and three Ivies. Great.

I got in!!! I got my envelope today in Alabama.. it was shipped Priority Mail

got waitlisted from both middlebury and amherst today...kinda a crappy day, but oh well....got two more schools to hear from

So if you don't get a letter, or package, in the mail today then you are not accepted? Even if you live in California?

accepted people- have you received your financial aid awards?

@danielcarp17 - my son, an international student, got the email acceptance, too, and could check his financial aid award by logging into the Amherst Financial Aid status checker https://fadata.amherst.edu/NetPartnerStudent, using his Amherst applicant ID and password.

Good luck everyone who is still waiting on decisions!

Did any of you U.S. students receive a Financial Aid award in your acceptance packet?

Thanks IntlDad, you must be proud of your son. Where is he/ are you from?
Sadly, I didn't even know there is an Amherst Financial Aid status checker.
I was accepted almost a month ago and still no info, and now I'm getting a bit frustrated.

OK... so I logged in and my fin aid award is not available.

Ugh.

I got in!! Ahh!!
No there was no financial aid award with the package...
They said they'll be sending it separately

....I just checked the link and they posted my finacial aid award which is the best I have received!

My son found his ID and password in his e-mail. He logged in and doesn't have a FA award posted either.

I'm glad you're happy with your FA, Kiwikimmi! What great news.

Is it the ID and password that they gave you for checking application status? Does that mean... if you can't sign into that financial site, you were either waitlisted or rejected? :(

(2Blue)
Thank you! I'm ecstatic! The new no-loan policy is great, especially with the economy in a recession its good to know that I will graduate with little or no debt.

(Jedimaster)
Yes, it is the same ID and password that you use to check your application status. I don't think that if you can't sign in you're immediately rejected. Don't give up hope!
