Wow, do they have to rub it in? :( Must they remind us of their greatness even in their rejection letters, arghgh!!

I seriously feel like taking a trip away from home just so I can avoid a rejection letter. Either that or stand at my door and act maniacally so I can scare away the mail carrier! :D

it says the admission committee decided to postpone a decision on my application 'til RD round.
and it asks me to update my application and send midyear report during Feb..
yeah, tat's pretty much it...

i remember seeing ur stat, and i thought it was better than mine...how does this work??? btw, i'm sorry to hear that, i'm pretty much in the same boat...

I have like a feeling of odd detachment right now - I don't feel bad at all... Being rejected has a final quality about it. Now I don't need to worry about Caltech in RD, at least...

The anticipation is killing me!
Indian, my stats are kinda similar to yours. I have a lot less academic awards and research. But I have a really good hook. Gosh I'm scared :O

I'll probably receive the Caltech (rejection) letter the same day as MIT's tubular contraption: Saturday.

My friends and I have decided we will have three plans:

A) Party indulgently to escape the reality of defeat
B) Party indulgently to revel in the reality of success
C) Party indulgently because we just don't know

I think they're just taunting us sublimally.
"We want you...we don't want you...we want you...we don't want you...but we want you to wait."
AAaaah!

I think I get mine tomorrow if mail from california reaches texas in 2 days.

admissions makes no sense to me at all. i just took a look at Indian's stats and im shocked. i noe ppl who got into caltech last year with much weaker stats and ecs than Indian. one was a pretty avg guy w/ good stats but nothing really special. caltech wasn't really that good of a fit for him and he didnt end up going. it just seems weird that Indian would get a straight out rejection when last year they accepted much weaker applicants. hmmm...

mjchiu2k, i was looking at last year's EA applicants. I noticed a trend that all the accepted applicants had...800 in Math. Everything else was pretty much the same as Indian's.

ahhhh i only got 780 on SAT 1 MATH
but 800 in MATh2C 5 Calc BC as sophomore
and AIME since 8th grade... is that okay??
i am really scared now !!!
