@liv: no money isn’t a concern, but im scared to be that far away. Optimally, I want to be within 40 min of my house.

I wanna see if I can get in at other places I’m applying to.

I don’t feel like wasting money on EA/RD apps if I get accepted.

Plus, money is a factor.

And I’d never forgive myself if I didn’t apply to Cornell and MIT with a fair shot (without an ED school.)

Hahaha why!? College is a growing experience where you get the chance to get away from home! U of M is awesome; it’s not some strange, foreign place. Also, there are lots of people from OOS, seeing as it’s so widely-recognized as a great school.

@CPU: Awww why not?? :/

I just visited UCSB on the weekend and the campus was gorgeous! The weather was nice too! I would seriously consider going there if it wasn’t such a party school. It’s probably not as bad as everyone says it is, but still…

I explained in an above post.

Definitely applying
Bowdoin
Colby
Brown
UVA
UNC-CH
Boston U

Maybe
Johns Hop
Middlebury
WF
Tufts

@CPU: Yeah, that’s understandable. Dartmouth is a reach for me and it’s pretty much my top choice, so if I get in, great! If not, I’ll probably just go to UCLA or UCSD :)

Rutgers (NB and Newark)
TCNJ
Montclair
Seton Hall
Penn State

I might change my mind. But if I really love Smith after all of my college visits, why not.

Really? I’d say C and P both have very high prestige-the difference is much too insignificant to make a choice over on the basis of which one is more “lucrative” or whatever prestige entails lol.

LSU sounds “fun”? Lol, it’s mostly a bunch of redneck college students tailgating before the big football games and slacking in school. The honors college isn’t bad though; my friend who goes there said they sent a kid to Harvard Law from the honors college last year, and a few others to some Ivies/top 20s for grad school.

U Mich, on the other hand, seems like a fantastic school with way better academics than my state flagship.

I know I’m late but I am applying:

**ED-Duke
*Colgate
Northwestern
Wash U
Brown
LeHigh
Michigan State
U of I (state school)

aktaylor, MSU but not U of M?! Really?

^^i’m applying to duke too! i don’t know about ED though… lol :)

Harvard, Stanford, Northwestern, USC, U. Penn

Heh…

^ are you applying to any safety schools…?

Yes, but I don’t know which yet. But those are the colleges that I know for sure that I’m applying to…:)

haha oh okay! i’m guessing you want to major in business. have you looked at George Washington, UNC Chapel Hill, Villanova, Wake Forest, U Texas Austin, Penn State, Boston U, U Wisconsin Madison, Case Western, Renssalaer, Florida, Northeastern, Syracuse, or Tulane?

just a long list of suggestions, hehe :p

Shortest list in the history of this thread, I think:

College of William and Mary ED
James Madison University EA

On the very, very off chance I don’t get into either of those, apply RD to either Radford or George Mason.

My parents will only help pay if I go in-state and public. I am in love with W&M, so works for me.

Business major at RPI!?

management. close enough LOL
