Class of 2012: Where are you applying to?

I don’t feel bad at all LOL. anything on the internet is fair game :p

@david: I love UC schools! but I’m OOS + I hate the essay prompts.
if I actually liked them, I’d apply to UCLA and Berkeley.

@naitou: Central Arkansas? where do you live? lol

@drinksuited… Tbh… all the schools in my area that I can afford that can be considered safeties… I hate with a passion. Like a deep passion. So… I’m deciding to apply to the schools I like, and hope for each one.

seriously I feel the same way.
I can’t imagine myself ever being satisfied going to one of my safeties.
let’s just jump in with our fingers crossed!

If I don’t get in, I have no qualms with going to a CC.

sigh

i’ll just feel shame. I’ll lay in bed for days, eating icecream.

You’d prefer a CC to a safety school? That’s not a choice I personally would make, but if that’s what you want…
I would still apply to one safety school, even if I didn’t like it. You can always transfer.
Do you even have match schools? Or they all reaches?
I still suggest applying to a SUNY school. Their prices for OOS aren’t as insane as those of other state schools coughcoughUCcoughcough and at least the two I’m applying to are good schools.

I’ll still have IB Exams to take lol, so if I end up going to my local CC… I just wasted 2 years of IB Diploma.

EA:
MIT

RD (if rejected/deferred from MIT):
Stanford
Northwestern
UC Berkeley
UCSD
Carnegie Mellon

i can’t wait to apply! want to get out of HS soooo baddd >__<

O__o

man, IB better take me to better places than my local CC.

^^^ I hate all schools in my state. And transferring’s a process I don’t want to go through.

Don’t like SUNY’s either. A few of the schools on that list are matches. I’m expecting to get into 2-3 schools on that list.

@MIT CC is just like high school. You might want to consider that.

EDIT sorry, I just saw that you do have some matches at least.

I’m simultaneously super excited and freaked out for the whole application process in the fall.
I’ve been debating what to write for my essays and such since sophomore year.

That said, my preliminary college list is:
Northwestern (HPME!)
Brown (PLME!)
University of Chicago
University of Rochester
Cornell
Boston U
Tufts
…maybe Dartmouth

Those and then my in-state university (guaranteed acceptance; if I have a 3.0, I don’t even need to submit an standardized testing. They’d also give me loads of scholarship money. Definitely a last resort though)
This list is bound to be edited many, many times before fall 2011. :D
