Class of 2014: Where are you applying?

Cool!

I’m also interested in engineering. Do you know what major you want? What are Texas’s strengths, besides football and business [Michael Dell!] ;)

Petroleum engineering, Chemical engineering, Communication, volleyball, swimming, and baseball.

Petroleum engineering sounds really cool!

100k right out of college also sounds cool…

Also, speaking of Texas baseball, someone from my school was recruited to play for them!
I was pretty stunned, my school doesn’t even have sports teams and is an engineering high school [It is a magnet school, so kids go to their ‘home’ or district school to play sports].

Definitely applying:
Princeton (probably SCEA)
UPenn
Cornell
Johns Hopkins
Drexel
BC

Probably:
Brown
Penn State
Yale
Harvard

Maybe:
Lehigh
WUStL
Pitt
Duke

I should probably start narrowing down my list…

Oh I forgot to put Johns Hopkins on the maybe list.

Rising senior planning to pursue Mechanical Engineering at either:

Lehigh
Bucknell
Villanova
Lafayette
UPenn
Princeton

My list is short, but its long enough for me. I listed the Ivies last because I know it’s a crapshoot and I am not expecting to get in, but I’m fairly confident about the others. I’m looking to add related schools as safeties (interested in more targets too), anyone have any ideas? Help would be appreciated.

Definitely:
Stanford
UC-Berkeley and UCLA (why not?)
Carnegie Mellon
U of Minnesota
U of Wisconsin

Probably:

Maybe:

No one brags about applying to Claremont Mckenna.

I personally enjoy reading where my peers are applying in the fall. It satisfies my curiosity :stuck_out_tongue_closed_eyes:

It’s called a joke.

@nickps:

Correct me if I am wrong, but Minnesota has a great business program right? Is that what you’re going for, because many of the schools that you have listed [Cornell, as in Dyson AEM, UPenn, Northwestern, Stanford, UMTC, NYU] have great business programs!

Californian here, I need a school close to beach so I can surf

Cal Poly SLO
