Class of 2015 from Nepal

Physics major is never a great problem man…I dont think there are many colleges that do not teach Physics…I agree with rocker…find college–>go through their site–>do some research about acceptance statistics(which might not be always the same and most of what we see in the web or some magazines like usnews are actually tampered by the college providing the info itself)–>and finally make a list where ur GPA, SAT, TOEFL blah blah lies at a stronger point than required…that is what we call safety…in simple words–>if your stats are higher than required by the uni and according to the unreliable stats if there is a chance that you are almost alike to the previously admitted students(maybe previous years…) you might consider yourself ‘safe’

Myan who who have registered for the ACTs…If you guys have have nay reading material do contact me hai…

Ani people.Keep regularly posting on cc.Why are you all so lazy yaar or are you all set up or what?
We need to break the record for all these previous threads from Nepal.Show up guys and girls too show up.

thnx to confidential2015…got some imp. info…and guys, these word lists are making me insane.is less than two months adequate to store the entire lists completely on our mind(except for other preparations)…omg!!!

@hendrix7
Its all up to you myan…One things for sure “Nothing is ever enough”.Do practice a lot myan.But I am going for the ACT.

@all
thanks guys for your good wishes.

Shall I register now for SAT of OCT ?

If you get a seat then go for it. And one more thing take practice tests for both SAT and ACT many times and finally figure out which is favourable for you. It helps a lot.

SAT is favorable for me. Thanks

And BTW is it a must to rote all those words in flash cards of Barrons. or it is just our seniors terrifying us.

Guys, sorry to bring the same topic back but is 3-2 engineering program offered by liberal arts college and those spammers PMing me feasible or possible for International students who cannot study without financial AID ?

^^^^ Myan first of all you need to research.Without researching do not post those irrelevant questions here.Go through the threads of previous years and you will get an idea about the colleges and their aids.Then post here if you have any difficulty.We will help you out.But do research.I repeat do research!!!

guys r we allowed to ED at one n EA at another? coz i heard someone saying its not allowed…

@prasadian: Its totally possible. You can ED I at one college, ED II at one colege and EA at as many colleges as you want. If you are thinking of applying to YALE or Stanford ( which practises SCEA) then I guess you cannot EA at other colleges

no yale no stanford …but the idea is to ed at one n ea at another…bytheway can anyone provide me with the list of ‘top’ ranked colz which have ea ??

I dont think top colleges (Ranked within 25 offer Early Action). Not the best but a lot of good colleges offer EA. (Good and Top are all relative terms) For the list I think you have to search individual websites but do take a not that very universities offer EA to international students basically its the liberal arts colleges. Few names that come in mind are Depauw, College of Wooster, Wesleyan etc

Ah, thank you, here123, for the most valuable statement of this thread: good and top(colleges) are all relative terms. :slight_smile: All too often, you find applicants coming up with a list of “good” colleges that is nothing more than a list of colleges that are ranked higher up in the USNWR rankings. Please use those rankings for nothing more than a starting point for your college search, and then focus on adding colleges to your list that are “good” not based on rankings but rather based on how they will be a match or a fit for you. :)
