Class of 2015 from Nepal

@confidential
there were days when I used to be there in USEF all the days almost all the time… i was ignorant about this US thing back then but it helped me so much that I am almost a complete one in this process, moreover i was chosen to be a US counselor in Alfa Beta but age was not in my side moreover that time i thought i was going this spring… but now i go there very occasionally…

@prasadian
The app docs are:

Application(common app)

International Certification of Finances

ISFAA or CSS

Parents income resource and proof(the job certificate thing)

Recommendation letters

Essay (included in the commonapp)

Test Scores (many accept attested scores)

App fee waiver request from your GC

Bank doc ( in some cases)

Anything that supports you to stand out (Probably your project on way or another piece of writing but not all those certificates you have)

These are all I know now for top notch (for state and small univs almost everyone knows)

P.S : This might not be a complete list.

@chandal
ur fab man!! thnxs for it…alfa beta ko ta vejja nai chaina ni…i remember chatting with one state uni adcom n she said alfa beta is no more than just money maker!!

n could u tell me abt which one to send by mail or online?

@All the guys and girls included,

Please help me with a list of colleges with non binding early action(EA) thing,

online is the best option in my opinion…if all of your teachers regularly use internet and know how to provide correct information in commonapp…the best option is online…after completing everything from commonapp just mail the ISFAA and other works u want them to consider…thats all…

@stunep15 you are late…check previous posts…and yes, welcome to the thread.

Until and unless your teacher has already done the whole recommendation thing online, I would not recommend online teacher recommendation. The whole form is already confusing for teachers and the process is online is more tiresome (Nepal and its slow internet connection). The recommendation thing is almost open book in many colleges, where you will know what your teacher is going to write. (In some extreme cases your teacher is going to ask yourself to write one). If the whole thing is done offline then you can check for many errors in the form and making the process smooth for you (atleast thats what I experienced). Some one with different experiences might differ to what I say.

and one thing chandalsaitan missed is (Which is very obvious though )
Attested or Orginal High School Transcript. (Almost all the transcripts in our case will be attested)

well…I agree with you too but what our teachers put in the commonapp site wont be done just at that moment.At first they write it, check it, type it, recheck it and then upload it…about internet connection…home use internet is really poor in my case too but when i goto college its like more than 2 mbps so no problem! And as you said, almost everything is known…(hami lai)…and I’m lucky to have very good internet worm kind of teachers…and of course my GC too is lord of commonapp…knows how, when, what…everything…so not a big deal in my case…I told in my earlier post too, try the online version only if your teachers are used to in it…otherwise mailing thing works really well…

^^^
I have to go with the mailing system as none of my teachers know how to do the online form.I guess for +2 and I.Sc students mailing will be easier than online submission.

@stunep15:every EA is non-binding ;p

pheri discrimination k…:frowning:
its same for all hai…i was lucky enough to get those facilities. that does not necessarily mean A level students everywhere get the same kind of facilities. even students from BNKS mail their application by post…ani k ko easier ni? its same for all…you know that…

^^^
You misinterpreted my saying.I was not discriminating at all rather telling the easier way for us.I am just saying that our teachers are not that familiar with this apply thing or the online matter so it will be best for us to submit them by mail.Nothing more yaar…

hehe…i was also not that serious in that post…

guys i have read almost all the posts here ( i might have skipped some),
this ED thing does not appeal me much tho i might ED(not sure) but i seriously want to EA as many colleges as possible (there is a upper limit tho),i cud not find any posts relevant to this EA thing,so,i guess it would not be an issue if u guys post it once again or PM me :slight_smile:
regards,
stunep15

…great work dude…

let me add some and almost everyone will donate some penny from their side…

P.S. these are colleges with EA option. I am not sure whether they have financial aid for internationals who attempt EA–talk to the admission officer

^^^
