<p>@sarb…grammatix sucks! I tried it today…and the scores were so low…it was like hardly 500 in CR according to the idea given in that book. My least score in CR is 600 (by my own method)…oh god…this grammatix thing…anyone thinking of using grammatix…delete the file now! haha…</p>

<p>well yeah, there’s no hard and fast method with Grammatix. Perhaps you did not give enough time to it? I used a modified method I carved out of the book, and I have been getting 700+ consistently in tests (real college board practice tests that had been previously administered). So there you go. And it’s not only me: a few more of my friends have had good increases in score using the Grammatix method. </p>
<p>I have dissected the SAT CR questions, and what Grammatix says almost always works for all questions. But yeah, you should be able to completely immerse yourself in the rules given for Grammatix to work properly. It’s not an easy catch: just a potential one you’ll get if you practice long enough.</p>
<p>^maybe…but for saturday’s test…what I am doing is alrite…let me see…if I don’t get a satisfying score this time…i will try to use grammatix seriously next time…</p>

<p>umm in contrast to what confidential said, a bit of memorizing words does help but then it could also waste your time because there are thousands of words we don’t know and only a dozen of those may end up on the SAT. However, there are some high frequency words that have appeared on the SAT a lot, and by high frequency i am not referring to words on Barron’s book. so if we know those words, they might just help…but then again, u need to know what words come often on the SAT and that’s another problem haha :D</p>
