Any athletes attending Georgetown in the class of 2016? I will be playing on the Women's golf team and will be in MSB. So excited for next year!

Congrats! I’ve got a spot on the soccer team, but will know tomorrow (hopefully) whether or not I get in.

(also applied to MSB)

Thanks! Congrats to you too. So have you committed officially to the soccer team? Because if you have I thought you would be pre-cleared for admission before going through the rest of the process as an athlete

I’m not a recruited athlete, but I’m looking to try to walk on the crew team if admitted. I’ve never rowed before (I’m a football player), but I know a couple people who have walked on at Georgetown. It’s a good way to stay in shape, and I’m told it affords you many social opportunities as well.

Awesome! I hope you make the team staying in shape and meeting a ton of new people are definitely major bonuses to being an athlete

I was offered a spot on the team, but they’d already handed out all of their spots with admissions for the year at the time that they offered me. Also, I’m a very viable candidate for getting in on my own, so they didn’t want to waste a spot with admissions. I’m also looking at a couple of other schools, so I didn’t want to commit anyway.

I am a freshie now (in hs haha)
But I really want to be recruited for shot put/discus or XC. I am bad at XC, though. Maybe shot put/discus would be better
Either way, if anyone has gone through the recruiting process, please PM me about it
(like what the coaches were like, the facilities, the people, etc)
I have visited, but it was years ago, during the dead of summer so I didn’t see too many people in action, so to speak.
Thanks!

I’m a soccer player, but I will not be playing on the Georgetown “official” team (I got in…)
