Class of 2016 EA Financial Aid?

2 things. 1st off, anyone know when EA accepted students get our aid notifications?
2nd, does anyone have experience with financial aid at ND compared to state schools (like how the final cost compares)?

ND generally comes close to meeting need (the usual costs less EFC).

We actually got our Financial Aid package in the mail today - I was really surprised to see it since I thought I saw on the ND website they were mailing out packages on April 2.

I received mine on St. Patrick’s Day  It was definitely a very generous and very reasonable offer.

Ugh, now I really want to know what mine is! I love ND, and I know that my parents would really like to be able to send me there, but I am going to need some financial aid to make it happen.

wow day after i post it comes… and not a bad offer either.

If you don’t mind my asking, where do you guys live? I’m getting impatient up in NY. =P

I live in Iowa and haven’t received mine yet, but I know someone in California who already has theirs. I think they might be releasing them alphabetically, though, because her last name begins with an A. That’s just pure speculation though…

We live in CT and our last name starts with “M”.

I agree with the other posters that the offer was generous.

Good luck to all!!

I’d say its not by alphabetical order, but by distance (because I received mine, it seems, sooner that the others who have already posted, and whereas I live about an hour and a half south of South Bend, my last name starts with an ‘S’)

I got my financial aid package today, and it was very generous. ND is definitely a viable, affordable option for my family now.

We are “patiently” awaiting word on the ND endowment.

Curious… no specific totals or anything… but for those who received “generous” offers… How close was the Notre Dame net price calculator to the actual offer? Close, a lot more…a lot less?

I figured some have already used it but just in case, here’s the link below.

Our financial aid package was within about $1,000 of the calculator. That includes scholarship, student loans and work study.
