Class of 2016: EA/Regular decision discussion

Haha I think I topped all of you guys. I submitted mine TWO minutes before the clock struck 12.
Dear me, that was close…
I would absolutely love to attend GU, but I won’t be surprised if I get deferred/rejected in the early round considering the 18% acceptance rate. Like they say, expect the worst, hope for the best.

Good luck everybody! This is exciting.

Haha oh wow, I submitted mine at 10.

SpartnPride do you know if legacy makes a difference EA for Georgetown?

By the way, to which school are you applying?

Random: I submitted my data form in July and my part two thing on i think October 25th but I haven’t heard anyyyttthing about an interview. Why not??

You must contact your interviewer and schedule your own appointment, they do not do it for you.

call and be assertive. that’s what we have to do

I don’t have any contact information for an interviewer though? I’ve searched the website but can’t find anything about who my regional person is, and when I emailed the generic “contact us” I got a computer-generated response and nothing else. Am I missing something really obvious?

emilysh, I’m sure legacy counts for something, but I am not aware of the extent to which it influences the decision…

And I applied to the College.

I can’t wait for the results… I’m anxious already…

How many of you beat 1400 on the SAT? I’m getting nervous :(

i got a 30 on the ACT. i feel like my chances are now slim for EA and RD after viewing this thread. btw a 30 is looked upon as a 1340 on the SAT

i got a 1560

1480 superscored. Georgetown superscores, right?

Yeah they superscore, but they also get to see all the other scores. I’m still mad they don’t even consider Writing- I got 800 and it would have helped me a lot.

Same. I’m pretty peeved because most of my schools ignore writing. I don’t fully understand why. It shows your ability to write under pressure, which I think is a useful skill.

when posting your score also post the school of Georgetown which you applied too.

Score: 30 ACT
School: McDonough School of Business

Score: 1560 SAT
School: Walsh School of Foreign Service

1480 SAT / 33 ACT
