Class of 2016 Regular Decision Results!

Rejected. I guess my SAT scores screwed me over… only 2100. but I had a 4.0 with the IB diploma and four Higher Levels. ECs ballet for 14 years with a letter from the artistic director of my school, worked as translator in Peru, spent summers in England at dance programs, etc. I also studied abroad in Sweden for a year during high school.

Oh well. It hurts.

Rejected as well. Unique applicant, i’m not surprised. This is the second rejection… so my self-esteem is pretty low. Congrats on everyone who got in!

Why did so many of us get waitlisted? This is kinda insane… :frowning:
Does Hamilton find out tonight?

Decision: Wailtisted
Waitlisted

Extracurriculars (place leadership in parenthesis):
too lazy to write a lot. MUN, lots of awards, leadership things, started quidditch club, newspaper, etc.
Job/Work Experience: Barista, Model, and writer for online music magazine
Volunteer/Community service: I volunteer at a food kitchen each week; went on a service trip, and docent at a local museum.
Essays: I really like my common app
Teacher Recommendation: They were really good - I asked my favorite teachers, but they are also the reason I was expecting to be waitlisted or rejected. You see, my college counselor sent the reccs without checking over them and one letter spoke all about how good of a fit I was for (my top choice) Brown. Awk, especially for WashU…
Counselor Rec: good
Additional Rec: Philosophy teacher, good.
Interview: Nice/normal/very very chill
[ /list][ b]Other[ /b][ list]
Applied for Financial Aid?: Regretfully. Almost chose not to just to boost my chances.
Intended Major: Cognitive Science or Econ
State (if domestic applicant): IL
School Type: Catholic
Ethnicity: White
Gender: Female
Hooks (URM, first generation college, research, etc.): none
Reflection
Strengths: Studied abroad in Paris for 6 weeks, job,
Weaknesses: A recc saying I was good for brown?

General Comments: Waiting for the 29th just got much more difficult.

Rejected :frowning: I’ll post my stats later, but I was a little surprised.
