Don’t worry if you didn’t schedule an interview in time – let the awesomeness of your application speak for itself Good luck!

@soyamoo my interview was this really nice older lady who was an archivist at a local museum. i just talked about a bunch of the gay activism I did and how my I tried to balance conservatism with my liberalism and how making compromises made me a better leader. she was really nice and gave me some contacts of people in my major (gender studies) so I could talk to them about what it’s like. I asked her about the alumni network and she was just like, “Wellesley women are really connected.” It went well Gl everyone.

@soyamoo, my interview was actually very difficult to contact I spent about three weeks scheduling and rescheduling our meeting, but when we finally met up, my interview went well. My alum graduated only two years ago, but she was very happy with a job she immediately earned after college (good news ) and so excited to tell me about her academic life at Wellesley. She was very sweet - she even offered to buy me a meal and drive me home!

Good luck everyone!!!

I’m applying RD and as an international asking for fin. aid, I can’t have an EE.
Just wanted to wish you all luck! :)

Are you guys sending in your first quarter grades? Are they technically required? At my school first quarter grades aren’t official and are only used as progress reports. I really don’t want to send them because I had a C (which is an A now) in Stats.

Hey EE ladies!

Only a few more weeks!!
I find my self getting more nervous everyday!
Wellesley is a reach for me, but it still remains a top choice.

I am just wondering if anyone has sent in extra materials: extra recommendations, updated resumes, sample work.

I can’t really find a thread anywhere that says that applicants actually do this, and if admissions are annoyed or if it actually helps your chances.

I feel as if my lacking portion is my test scores-- which is why sample work sort of represents me more…

Hope you guys are having a good senior year

xx

I am so nervous! Two more weeks until Swellesley tells us our chances of getting in! Wellesley is my top choice for sure, but I’m not sure I’ll get in. I can’t wait any longer!

omg i’m so nervous i have no idea if i’ll get it or not either @newenglandlover

I’m in the same boat ladies… super anxious! I just wanna know! Well, February 25th will be here before we know it

10 more days girls! Good luck to everyone.

Per Wellesely’s requirements in the website, it says
"-----Students planning to concentrate in language or literature are urged to study a modern foreign language and Latin or Greek. "

Does it mean that if my D want to major in English, should she take either Latin or Greek? My D. has taken only spanish for all the years as a foreign language, no plan to take latin or greek in her senior year. Will it be a problem when she applys next year? Thanks for your thought in advance.

Considering that in the next paragraph it goes on to say that “there are often exceptions to the above, and the Board will consider an applicant whose educational background varies from this description,” I wouldn’t be too worried. (As always, if you’re truly concerned, email the college directly.)

That said, Latin’s a fascinating and useful class to take. I’d highly recommend it! =)

Rafael428: Our daughter took four years of Latin (and no modern language) - she is studying a modern language now at Wellesley.

One week to go! Although, I wonder why they decided to notify us on the Monday instead of before the weekend.

I wish they notified us during the weekend as well, since Monday is my first day back from break. I need some free time to crawl into a fetal position if I get an unlikely xD

So close! We can do ittt!

@berries123 yeah i mean our school district doesn’t even have a february break so i’m going to be going to school. good luck. less than a week.

@kendrickgirl: I didn’t know people had February breaks lol! We had a 3 day weekend last weekend bc of President’s Day and we have a 3 day weekend this upcoming weekend, but we don’t have an actual break.

is Februrary 25th only for EE?
