<p>thx for the perspective, @smd2014. As far as freaking out @zombiedante, this household has a LOT of anticipation regarding this announcement as it is one of S’s favorite schools and definitely the place he will go if he gets a good scholarship! 
Trying to stay calm but it’s hard, hoping against the odds because of the extreme competitiveness, that just maybe there will be some good news for him. Good luck to your brother… and to everyone here!</p>
<p>It seems as though I was misunderstood. I wasn’t trying to insult anyone. I am freaking out myself, but I understand how bad that can be on a person. I was trying to to offer some advice and answer some questions.</p>

<p>I’m also wondering if anyone has gotten calls today. I applied for Rodriguez and Danforth and was fully expecting these calls to come next weekend. I just randomly happened upon this thread for the first time today, and my stomach dropped when I read that people have already been called.</p>
<p>Have any calls gone out today for anyone? Is there any hope left if we haven’t been called by now?</p>

<p>yeah, at this point anticipation is down and hope has seriously waned. the only thing that is hanging on is the fact that some people didn’t get calls last year but were notified that they were in fact a finalist, only on their pathway during the week. but who knows how realistic that is at this point. never know what information is truly trustworthy. (sigh)</p>
<p>@wallrus75: Possible, but unlikely. I wouldn’t give up hope until next weekend or when Pathway decisions are posted, whichever comes first!</p>
<p>Yea i mean, I haven’t heard of ANYONE getting a call for the scholarship I applied for (Langsdorf) so I’m still waiting for any kind of confirmation they’ve already called who they chose.</p>
<p>I guess I won’t give up ALL hope yet, but most is gone…I know they must choose these pretty holistically and it’s not all based off of standardized test and GPA, but I was just really banking on those things (among others).</p>

<p>CC is one of the biggest gathers of the 12th nerd kind. For no one to report a single phone call for some of the biggest scholarships (like Ervin) that is shocking. ALSO if you look at last years thread (and many before it) people who did not get calls for university wide scholarships still became finalist via pathway decision. </p>
<p>Everyone is so quick to doubt, but no one is willing to do their own fact checking. smh. [/rant]</p>

<p>Just spoke with a friend who’s an admissions officer at WashU. As far as she knows, no calls have gone out for the Ervin program yet, so there’s definitely still hope!</p>

<p>@ZombieDante: I didn’t ask when the Pathway will be updated. It was more of a social chat but we also talked about changes in the Ervin program administration since we were undergrads. </p>
<p>This next part is pure speculation on my part so make of it what you will: it seems that the lack of weekend phone calls might have to do with the new staffing arrangement? </p>
<p>Anyway, sorry I couldn’t be of more help. Just passing along what I know and trying to put some minds at ease (ok, and maybe also procrastinating on my own studies). Hope everyone gets some rest tonight and doesn’t stress too much!</p>
