@Coolkid999 In the past people who end up getting the presidential invitation get into the honors college (noted in their acceptance letter) and then receive another mailing a few days later inviting them to the interview weekend.

Hi everyone quick question: Does anyone know whether international applicants receive some sort of email? Like has it happened before? Thanks!

@Coolkid999 For the first time, we are incorporating the Presidential Scholar invitation in the acceptance packet this year.

@DevlinHall208 Awesome! Thank you!

@DevlinHall208 have you already sent out admission letters?

@DevlinHall208 Will you send emails to international applicants? Please reply, thanks!

@ineversleep I have heard that acceptances come in big envelopes and rejections come in small ones.

Does it say congrats on the outside of the envelope? Or is it blank?

When do you think our decisions will arrive in the mail? Saturday or Monday? I’m so nervous/excited!

@blueeyes1997 Depends on where you live.

Georgetown sent their letters out on Friday, and most people out east and some in Idaho and Michigan already know. I’m in CO, and I haven’t received anything yet.

@anniemalfarm Hi! I love in New York state… Do you think there’s a chance I could get it on Saturday?

@anniemalfarm oops… ***live! And I got my deferral letter from Georgetown yesterday so I’m even more nervous now to hear back from BC! :/

@blueeyes1997 Saturday is probably a safe bet then. I’ll get my Georgetown letter when I get home from school tomorrow (aaaah!). I’m so nervous alllllll the time.

@anniemalfarm good to know! Good luck with Georgetown! I was almost 100% sure I was going to get deferred, and I was right… : :-" Apparently they only accepted 13% of the early applicants, which is so insane!

@blueeyes1997 It’s definitely a tough number to swallow. I’m pretty certain I’ll get deferred… if I get in, it’s definitely because of my essays.

@anniemalfarm what other schools did you apply to/are you applying to??

@wishful2015- the large envelope is blank. Good luck!!!

Hi everyone…I’m a mom and hope you guys can help me feel better, or worse depending on what you have to say. About this portal change thing. My daughter applied EA to BC and last week around the time it seems like some others experienced some portal changes, as did she. She just had to all of a sudden give her birthday and her Eagle ID Number. But that didn’t take her to an enrollment/deposit page, I think it just took her to the normal page on applicant status. Is it a good sign that she had the birthdate/Eagle ID number request even without the enrollment/deposit page or a bad sign? She is so worried. She has a strong app and is Legacy (I went to BC) but is applying CSOM so who knows. Any feedback would be great. You all sound like terrific students and will end up somewhere great by the way! Please LMK what you think about her portal change. We are in NJ.

@omgsoscared - We have not mailed letters yet. It is scheduled for this Friday, and we will Tweet as soon as they are mailed.

@jj2332 - All applicants who attend school outside the US will receive an e-mail, not a letter, which will be sent 12/19 - 12/22.

@collegemomjam - Regarding the Portal message change that occurred last week:

Boston College had been conducting routine maintenance and updating forms on the Agora portal for applicants. For a short period of time, this message appeared on the portal in error. It has now been corrected. No inference should be made from who may or may not have received the message; it did not reflect a certain population of the applicant pool in any way. Please note that Early Action admission decisions will not be available through the Agora portal.

For those students that did experience a portal change, is everything back to normal? I don’t know if my portal changed (I couldn’t check in time) but nothing is different for me. Is this the same for everyone?
