@23mhead did you take AP classes? What math classes have you taken/how did you score? What’d you get on the Math section of your SAT?

@anniemalfarm you guys need to chill with all of these questions. There is no secret formula to getting accepted. Just get good grades and try to be involved. :)

@randomstudent15 too late for that lol but you’re right

Hi everyone,

I’ll do my best to answer all of your questions. I am a Male, and I put down Finance as my major for CSOM. I’ve taken 9 AP Classes (5 this year) and the rest have been honors (except for electives). For my math classes, freshman year I took Honors Geometry (B) , sophomore year I took Honors Algebra 2 (A-), junior year I took Honors Pre Calc (B), and this year I take AP Calc AB (A first semester). Honors Geom and Pre Calc are two of the hardest classes at my school, so a B is pretty good. I got a 770 on the math section of my SAT.

As for the portal, to be honest I had only logged on once before to set up my account, so I’m probably not of much help. Right now, there are two tables/boxes in the middle of the screen; one is titled “Account and Personal Info” and the other, “Common Services.” There are links in each of them, and there is a calendar on the left side of the screen. I don’t think anything has changed, but then again I probably don’t remember.

@23mhead thanks so much for taking the time to do that…the critical question on the portal, if you don’t mind us asking one more question, is how many tabs are on top of your first box? Is it just A,C,D and E or is there an F or a P there? Once there is an F or a P we can tell that a student has been accepted because those are the tabs for paying. Thanks so much! And congrats sounds like they made a good choice in accepting you!

Only A, C, D, and E are shown. In the letter they sent me, they say the website for admitted student services will be available starting the 22nd (tomorrow). And thank you!

@nickb14 haha 750 writing scores FTW! @collegemomjam my math score is only a 690 :-S

@23mhead by tomorrow do you mean 12 am? or is it at a specific time?

They didn’t specify

For how many of y’all is bc number 1? I’m def going if accepted, but how bout you?

Definitely going. It is my number 1.

Ok so when I go into agora and click on applicant status it brings me to a page that has my required or missing application documents but on the top it says 2016F…is this the same for everybody ?

Yes, the tabs are on the first page above the first box. Now they are A,C,D, and E. At least for my daughter.

Yes that is the same for everyone

My biggest problem with BC is that I do not know what to major in, in terms of science, that will both allow me job security and money making upon graduation. I am interested in physics/engineering. If anyone could help me with this dilemma, it would be greatly appreciated, because I really do love a lot about BC. Would it be a waste of money for me to go there and get a science degree as opposed to some other degree, such as an engineering one from Villanova?

Hey guys, so I had applied EA for bc as well, but i never received any username or password for the online portal so i was completely unaware that there was one in the first place. i recently just learned of this, so i had never set up any account on the agora portal. will this mean that i will not receive any decision letter because i never logged on, or is the portal just for students to check their application status?

I would call the school so they can give you your portal information.

i tried to, but i think the school is closed for winter break now. do you think that this would have hurt my chances of getting in?

does anyone know what the acceptance letter looks like? does it come in a bigger packet type thing, or a smaller envelope?
