@asapsnow sorry , i sort of feel uncomfortable sharing them because they’re really bad in comparison to everyone here lol. tbh, I still think i’m going to get rejected because my sats and everything aren’t that high.
Have any numbers been published yet about how many people applied EA for the BC Class of 2019 and what percentage got accepted? Was there an increase of EA applicants over last year?
Yeah. They said there were about 9800 applicants which was nearly double than last year (5500). I believe 2700 were accepted. I can’t remember what they said for deferrals but I think it was somewhere around 2000 as well. Hope that helps!
Yes ineversleep, thank you!
I think I read that they deferred 4000. I will see if I can find the link.
Wow… how come the year we apply
it of course has to become 20x more selective and competitive because everyone’s applying :-<
I’m just wondering what you guys think

I don’t understand how your uw GPA is 3.7 and weighted is 4.8. If you’re using the same system for both, as in counting +/-'s or not, your weighted gpa can’t be more than an entire point over your unweighted.

@BCisLife well I’m not sure, but that’s what my transcripts say.
@BCisLife it isn’t hard at all. Most of the best students at our school have GPAs that are at least one full point higher than their unweighted GPA. My freshmen year they announced at graduation that the valedictorian had the highest GPA in the 40 year history of the school with a 5.71, well above the 4.0 unweighted GPA.
Different high schools weight differently which is why many colleges re-weight the transcript according to a consistent standard for all applicants.
Hi! I was deffered from BC EA and was super disappointed because it was my top choice. I was wondering what my chances are (if any) of being admitted RD
3.9 UW GPA, Top 10% of class, 30 ACT
NHS, French Honors Society, Class Officer position as well as lots of volunteering and great EC’s
Decent Essay, Great Rec’s, sent a deferral letter to the admissions counselor informing of new accolades as well as the fact that BC is my top choice and I tend to enroll if admitted
I have also applied to: UNH (accepted), UMass Amherst (accepted), UConn (accepted), Holy Cross, Providence, Trinity College, BU, and Northeastern
Any comments/recommendations are greatly appreciated! Thanks!
@emjamo1196 Sounds like you have a great chance and you were smart to send the letter…good luck!
