Reflection
Strengths: decent ACT & GPA, and essay
Weaknesses: ACT was average. no spectacular extracurricular activities…
Why you think you were accepted/deferred/rejected: i think my essay really made me stand out. it showed i was a family-oriented individual that wanted to take more away from uni than a great education, and that i had something to offer the michigan community as well
Where else you are applying or have already applied: a lot of Michigan colleges & was accepted to all. BGSU accepted, but i applied to northwestern and got rejected
General Comments/Advice/Hindsight: in hindsight should have retaken ACT. advice, i recommend applicants to work hard on their essay, thats what makes you stand out, because we’re a bunch of numbers, so the essay gives us a chance to speak, show who we are. CONGRATULATIONS TO EVERYONE WHO WAS ACCEPTED! i am excited to see you on campus… and not know who you are 8)

I am also a NROTC applicant and received the scholarship.
