@gq2016 : No, not really, at least not in the past. It appears to be becoming more of a thing.
This may seem a little off topic but with this whole chalk controversy, if we are accepted and eventually graduate from Emory 4 years later, do you think grad schools and employers will judge us negatively because this chalk thing hurt Emory’s reputation? I know that sounds kind of paranoid but I’m seeing lots of negative comments on online articles about this issue and people seem to be bashing the entire school over it even though it only involved like 50 students
@bernie12 right on, I know people here that have scores well-below and above the average GPA and SAT accepted ranges
@gq2016 I honestly don’t think anyone will view you negatively. Who you are has nothing to do with other people except yourself.
@BlackHuntress haha thank you so much! Personally I don’t mind going into either as long as I can transfer to the Goizueta Business school. Have a little less hope for emory cuz the college process has been a crazy ride for me ( accepted to USCD, ohio state, boston univ, Waitlisted at BC, UCLA, UCB). Hopefully emory surprises me!
Lol and as for the essay my supplement essay was about How we can help in the fight against ISIS. Kinda controversial. But at the time it felt right. What do you think?
I logged in to my OPUS account and the entire page was nearly blank except a small box in the upper left corner (sorry, I exited out already). Did anyone see the same thing? They also keep requesting financial aid documents, so my mom thinks that I’m basically in, even though I doubt it.
I wrote the “we can fear or we can care” essay about blood donation. In retrospect, it was okay at best, and not particularly impressive. Then again, I went back and read my “why college” essay for a school that I was accepted to, and it was absolutely atrocious, so maybe I just hate my own writing.
@dr0wning may I ask what financial aid documents they are/were requesting and how many documents you see under financial aid tab?
As of right now, I have
css profile app
cit dbm
fafsa app
IDOC packet
2014 tax returns
2015 tax returns
Studnts NonTaxFiler but this one is still under “initiated” but others as completed
I haven’t gotten any fin doc request other than the one I got in Feb.
@dr0wning may I know what your stats are? And yeah maybe you do

Can anyone log on to this? and can anyone else fill out PUBH application form on OPUS? bc I CANT AND THIS IS DRIVING ME NUTS
@shiminator I can’t!
@shiminator i can’t but I really think that if emory has made this page public it obviously will restrict access until it updates it’s portal so dw!!!
@dr0wning lol hey there again my fellow ED Columbia rejectee…
Is it me or does that site looks fishy…
@shiminator I can!
Edit: Well, I tried entering my ID, but it just brought me back to the OPUS login
@gummybear2016 what do you see when u login?
@Sehaj14 It just brought me back to the OPUS login…False alarm everyone…
@gummybear2016 It doesn’t take me anywhere – I just get “Invalid login”. Fingers crossed for you!
@Aralis @gummybear2016 same for me. invalid login. lol i hate these signs
Clicking on “View Online Decision” makes me login again and brings me to a blank page…
