@SnapApp Thank you!! You too!
@Kasami I’m a finalist but they said they would let some people know ahead of time whether they were accepted or not.
@studentathlete14 Yes. Mostly though because I applied to the Scholars Program (more like checked the box) and they said they would let a select few (scholars finalists + some others) if they were accepted.
Hey guys, I just came back from a campus visit at Emory and the rep there said decisions will be released March 30th!
@gummybear2016 Thanks for the notice!
May I ask why you all applied?
i applied because I visited Georgia before (not Emory unfortunately) and I absolutely love it there! It also helps that when I researched it they seemed 100% the perfect fit for me especially because the vibe I got from research was that this school was all for diversity and seemed…idk I guess nicer in terms of student interactions (not just in clubs, activities etc.).
I haven’t heard of Emory until a few classmates in the grade above me decided to attend there. I did not get into my early schools I’m branching out if you feel
Just wondering, when you guys log into OPUS and click on “search for classes” what shows up?
I am pretty sure when I logged in about a week ago, I was not able to view the classes and it said something like I can’t search as I am not a student yet but now I can search. I am in the page where I can “search for classes” and “enter search criteria”.
But on the “Term” drop down, I have Fall 14,15, Spring 14,15,16, and Summer 14,15,16. No fall 16.
Anyone know if this means anything?
@mdlego the same thing shows up for me, but i’m not sure if i was able to access this before…
The same thing happens for me, and I wasn’t able to access it before. I think this is happening for all the applicants.
Yup I got that new option too! I wonder if anyone’s class selection DIDN’T change? That’d be more indicative.
Two weeks ago, I was contacted by Emory’s Department of Music stating that after a preliminary review of my application, they would like me to audition for violin. Not sure if this is a good sign, but also don’t think it’s a bad sign.
@52balletvieta Emory is the only school I applied to in the South (Unless one counts Washington D.C. as such rather than its own little enclave). Near Atlanta, great weather, rigorous education, and support for pre-med students.
I got an email saying the same thing but for singing! Sent in a supplement and they received it but haven’t heard anything since the “thank you for your supplement” email. Have you heard anything more?
Well darn, seems like they are doing some close reading of some of the applications.
How do we know if Emory received our mid year reports? It isn’t on the to do list! I’m freaking out, I don’t think my counselor submitted one!
Did you go through common-app? If so, you can check there for MYR, or just ask you counselor.
@jmccusk I haven’t heard anything at all since then either! Here’s just hoping for the best.
