@Balbina, yeap. I’m an international student, though, so I don’t know if it has any bearing on the matter.
@WaywardVagabond I got an email at around 6
I can’t log into my OPUS account anymore, even though chrome memorized my credentials… what’s going on
I don’t think it means you got rejected because it was only certain students (first generation/low income) that were noticed earlier because of the Essence of Emory event they have in April
@WaywardVagabond do you mean the tab when you first log into OPUS in the student center (underneath “Academics”) it says “initiated”?
@collegehopeful4321, that’s right.
I also have one document that says “initiated”. Haven’t called them about it though.
The only document on my OPUS account that says “initiated” is my IDOC packet
@collegehopeful4321 I am assuming you already turned that in right?
The document that says initiated on my end is “Studnts NonTaxFiler”
I actually haven’t submitted it yet because it takes a long time to do and there would be no point in doing it if they don’t accept me. If they do accept me, then I will do it. But yeah, I don’t have the “Students NonTaxFiler” thing
How many financial aid documents do you have?
I assume you don’t have StudentsNonTaxFiler doc as you didn’t submit the IDOC packet yet. After turning everything in, StudentsNonTaxFiler doc showed up as “initiated” which was about 2 weeks ago. Before that, it wasn’t even there.
But, I haven’t gotten any emails yet regarding this document even though it was already submitted so… I am not exactly sure
I have 5 “Office of Financial Aid” documents on my To Do List. And that does make sense if my IDOC packet wasn’t turned in then I would see that option
Last week I also had the Student NonTaxFiler show up as initiated. I emailed Emory’s fin aid (and they responded the next day!) and they basically said that they already reviewed my financial aid but couldn’t release an award until I submitted the Student NonTaxFiler. They also said you could email or mail it to them, and I emailed the file to them the next day and it shows up as Complete now on OPUS.
@purpleflower98 hmm that’s weird cause I already submitted mine… I guess a quick call to their financial aid office won’t hurt
@cchopeful2016 I submitted mine to IDOC as well but IDOC is messed up or something idk so it never registered? I’m not really sure
When Emory receives your financial aid application do they send you an email stating that they have received it?
@damndaniel I assume so. I was sent an email confirming reception of FA documents.
When I called them, they said they had my documents (ISFAA). However, it doesn’t show up on OPUS.
I’m just getting on this thread and saw that some people were already notified of admission. If we didn’t get a notification, does it mean that we didn’t get in? The last time I was contacted was earlier last week about financial aid but haven’t heard anything about admissions.
@busyybee Only a few people were notified of early admission. It doesn’t mean you’re not in.
