Class of 2020 RD

I just got accepted with Presidential Scholarship by email!! International Student here! It was so unexpected… I thought they were not releasing until end of March!!

I believe they release international decisions first- domestic decisions start being sent next week

International student here! No news on my side.

@AyushSahni98 It takes a while! Four people from my school applied… Only two have received decisions until now!

I am also international student and nothing so far

I’m also an international student and I got an email listing my acceptance today! It might come out earlier for international students because of distance but I’m guessing that they are sending actual letters to domestic applicants. Not sure though!

International rejected today by e-mail. 31 ACT.

Accepted!!! International student here. From India. Just saw the email.

I know we’re just hearing about international students right now, but as the decisions start rolling in, it will be really useful for next year’s applicants if you are able to post your stats with your decision.

Anyplace you see a space between the bracket [ and the next character you need to remove the space.
(And if you look at this and decide it seems like too much work, just try to post GPA, SAT/ACT, and any scholarship money you receive)

Thanks guys, and good luck!

I just saw the admission letter.I got accepted but for the spring semester!

Did any international students try the portal trick, if so was it effective in predicting your result?

@Apples1789302 I’m considered “international” location-wise and was accepted by email yesterday. On my portal it had listed the “Presidential Scholarship” and they awarded me the same scholarship in the acceptance letter.

@QuirkyClarkie Are you able to access the portal now?

@QuirkyClarkie Congrats, that’s awesome. I hope a similar situation occurs for me.

@helenanca Access to portal is still blocked

@QuirkyClarkie That is very good news!

@Apples1789302 @HappyFace2018 Thanks! It was especially nice because they referred to my CommonApp essay in my acceptance letter.

In other news, I tried logging in on the portal and like stamatious said, it still isn’t working. I’m not particularly anxious to access the portal at the moment so I’m planning on waiting until they open it up again.

Congratulations to everyone who has so far been accepted! To those who have not been accepted, I urge you not to let this rejection characterize your upcoming college experience. Wherever you end up, you will end up doing great, wonderful things, and I look forward to welcoming you into the college student community.

All that said, I am a rising sophomore here at American University and would be more than happy to answer any questions! Feel free to PM if necessary. I posted earlier in this thread and apologize if I missed any questions from then. All students just arrived back on campus from Spring Break this Monday so we’re all pretty busy. I look forward to meeting you all!

To reiterate a couple things, if you are able to see a financial aid award [loans, grants, scholarships] for the 2016F-2017SP through your student account [not prospective account], then you have been accepted to American University. You should all be receiving your decision letters in the near future, and we welcome you! (:

Is anyone able to get on the portal again?

When do decisions come out?
