@Elevey1 Nothing about summers, but I emailed the program asking since money will be a determining factor in my decision of which school to go to.
@md3829 So your acceptance package did not include the financial part?
I got into the 3 year Public Health Program on Friday. I only received 12,000 in scholarship, so I don’t think we will be able to afford the tuition. Very upset since American was my first choice.
ACT: 29
GPA: 4.3
Demonstrated Interest : A lot
@mitch98 So wait…$12,000? Was your estimated family contribution really high?
Hey Guys! I emailed my rep last week and she said that they would mail the result next week. Everyone just be patient and all of us will get in!!! Hope to see all of you in AU this fall!
@chloeliu97 so that next week now means starting tomorrow right? P.s. – thanks for the insight!!
I got an email saying decisions for domestic applicants will mail on the week of March 21st, and I can expect to get an admission decision no later than the 31st.
they already were mailed on friday
Just so everyone knows, there’s a HUGE nor’easter blowing into the East Coast right now, including DC so your letters may end up at your house later than expected!
@Lana22 where did you see that?
@Lana22 Here is the email My D received:
We are in the final stages of preparation to release our admissions decisions for the Class of 2020, so you will have your answer from us soon. This update is being sent to all of our more than 19,000 applicants and therefore should not be interpreted as a notice of an acceptance, but simply an update to our expected mailing schedule.
We will begin mailing all of our admissions decision letters for domestic applicants starting the week of March 21. The volume of applications received requires several days to process and prepare for mailing. How quickly you receive your admission decision depends largely on where you live. You can anticipate receiving an admissions decision no later than Thursday, March 31. Please know that if you applied for and are accepted to any of our 3-year degree programs, or the AU Honors Program, you will receive notification within your acceptance letter.

Ok i misunderstood yes they go out tomorrow: New eagles hatched and AU Eagle decision letters about to go out next week. Coincidence?
I am confused as to how you weren’t offered more financial aid @mitch98. What is your EFC/family income? I am applying as a transfer, but as I freshman, my net price for all private schools was between 27-35k. My parents make 6 figures and I found all these prices manageable. Try giving financial aid a call. Did you fill out the CSS profile?
I don’t think AU guarantees to meet full need so they may not offer more money.
@nj1818 Good questions. Between the net price calculator, the CSS form and the FAFSA…they give a good sense what the EFC will be.
@gonewiththeair You are correct.
@mitch98 Look at the “estimated cost” for AU. Remember they include the kitchen sink. If you did the FAFSA, maybe your parents can do the parent plus for tuition, room and board. I believe the FAFSA also qualifies the student for the Stafford loans ($5,500 which could cover books/fees).
Is it possible they mailed them earlier than expected since a few people received acceptances this pat weekend?
@tg2016 only international students. letters for domestic students haven’t been sent out yet. although a few special program applicants have been accepted.
Are decisions snail mail or email?
@926ml Snail mail
