Class of 2020 RD

I think it would be much easier if all decisions were just released through the portal

@KLWoodlands I so agree with you!!

Yes:)

Oh but guys that ruins the suspense of the moment. And after 4-5 months of waiting, that’s obviously what we want more of…NOT! Totally agree, portal and email are so much better. Plus it probably allows for a quicker notification since the package can be sent later on.

So if the letters were sent out on Friday, should those on the east coast receive them today?

They are being mailed starting today, not Friday. The thing with Friday was that was when people who applied and were accepted to special programs recieved their letters. They will be mailing decisions all this week.

Update from today at 7:24 am EST:

When you guys get your letters please share the day you got it and the state you are from!

so if they’re stuffing envelopes today, then I guess they should start mailing them tomorrow?

They’ll mail them by the end of the day today.

If they send by the end of the day, when do you guys estimate we could get them? (TX resident here)

It’s a tough call @KLWoodlands. I estimate Wednesday. They won’t get processed and relocated until tomorrow, then the next day they’d go out to delivery. Of course the transportation could take 2-3 days depending on how far away you live from American. I live 4 miles away from campus but I don’t think I will get my letter until Wednesday.

Got my acceptance in to the Public Health Scholars Program today! Unfortunately got no merit or financial aid /:

Did everyone who was accepted by the special programs receive notification today/over the weekend?

@samyymad So wait…no merit with a scholars program acceptance!

@HappyFace2018 Unfortunately with public health there is no assured merit scholarship. I’m guessing because these students will be attending AU for 3 years vs. 4 years for a degree.

I have this vision of thousands of letter carriers being stalked and letters being grabbed…LOL. :))

@Leapie45 literally me.

@samyymad Wow! That’s good to know. My D applied for Global Scholars so we shall see. That $100,000 scholarship my D received from Loyola University-Chicago is looking better and better by the minute.

My best friend just received an acceptance to Global Scholars today! We live in California.
