Class of 2020 RD

@TX2016 I got into UT and UH but that it, also don’t pan on going in state!!

@gonewiththeair I live in San Jose and I’m still waiting. What city do you live in?

I live in central CA and received my letter today

Here in Washington state. Nothing in the mail yet.

@kaitlynjoy I applied as a political science major, and got in for PPL. Applied for honors college too, but didn’t get it I don’t think. Best of luck!

If I can log into the student portal, does that mean I got in?

@foreignhopes San Diego!

Good news! I was able to create a new student account and have not yet received my decision in the mail (live in PA). Previously, before AU shut down the portal, I was never able to create an account. So they must be starting to allow accepted students in. Good luck, everyone!

My daughter had many friends who came in with AP credits who chose/was able to graduate in three years rather than 4 in order to save a year of tuition. A word of caution for those receiving financial aid, rather than merit - your aid can change from year to year. There was recently a young woman featured on Yahoo finance who created a Go Fund Me account because she could not afford her last semester of college at AU. Her financial aid changed, her parents were retired and could not co-sign for additional loans and she had already taken a leave of absence to work in order to pay her tuition. AU would not let her take another leave. Due to the publicity of Yahoo finance, she was able to obtain over $20,000 in donations in order to allow her to pay her tuition bill.

@dreambig2018 I still can’t log into the portal :frowning: does that mean I was rejected

@dreambig2018 Neither can I, but I was never able to in the first place, so it’s possible that full access won’t be available until around the 31st.

I was able to log into the portal, and when I clicked on financial aid, it said I was awarded a 10K dean’s scholarship. I assume this means I have been accepted? No letter yet.

It seems that the West Coast is the first to get their letters. Perhaps letters are being sent out by region first?

@Cosmopolitian13 no. People from all over got their acceptances letters to special programs yesterday. Now, people should get their letters based on where they live in proximity to American and how long mail gets to their house from AU.

@gonewiththeair Oh, okay, thanks for the heads-up.

Anyone from New York get their decisions today?

Has anyone been able to track a package with UPS or USPS?

Waiting here in Kansas. Nothing in the mail yesterday.

It’s been said before but as far as we can tell, regular letters were mailed yesterday. Meaning that it would be impossible for them to have been received yesterday, and unlikely for today. Fingers crossed for tomorrow? I’m in New York, so I’ll (hopefully) get something sooner rather than later.

@egaliteoulamort Sounds about right. All regular letters were just sent, and the only letters received already (from what I can gather) were those indicating acceptance to a special program at AU. I have a few friends that also applied to AU but didn’t apply to any programs, and they are still awaiting a letter. I got mine yesterday for the PPL program.
