We’ll be hearing when decisions will be mailed out next week and I’m so nervous! Though I’m also really excited to hear back. We don’t have very long to wait now!

Hm, I don’t think they could have already gotten in (unless it’s a special program acceptance). They pretty much won’t be mailing out for another week at the very earliest.
@gonewiththeair I agree-- the actual RD admissions acceptance definitely can’t have been mailed out yet. The soonest it could be would be if they notified us on the 7th and said “we’re mailing them out today!”
I can pretty much guarantee @balimarpy was accepted into a special program like Honors. Last year those who were accepted into these programs received their acceptance in the mail at the very beginning of March, before everyone else.

@anothermuggle @HappyFace2018 My acceptance letter has said nothing about any special programs, so I’m still confused as to why I got mine so early. But I do live abroad, and have just gotten an email inviting me to a lunch with the other admitted students in my country, so maybe that’s the reason? Someone please enlighten me on this >.<
@balimarpy haha well congrats on the acceptance! I think I wrongly assumed ALL early acceptances are acceptances to special programs. It’s actually relatively common for international students to hear back from colleges earlier than domestic students.
Wait were we supposed to answer “no” to that email they sent about committing to another school if we still want them to consider us? I just didn’t do anything about it, I guess I assumed they only wanted a response if you were saying “yes” to take you out of their pile
Does AU call some accepted applicants before the decision release date? A lot of other colleges do, so I am just curious.
Hi guys, so in post #80 I posted about a loophole you could use check your decisions early. (Going to create a new student account with AU ID, if you can create an account you’ve been accepted, if you can’t create an account you may have been rejected/waitlisted) I didn’t think that using this loophole would work until people began to receive their letters, but I just tried it on a whim and was able to create an account. I’m not sure what this means, but hopefully I’ve been accepted! There was no financial aid uploaded yet.
I don’t want to start a panic or frenzy or anything, but if others want to go to my. american. edu (get rid of spaces) and try to make an account we might be able to figure out if this is legit.
