CLASS OF 2020 REGULAR DECISION THREAD

I am guessing next Thursday

Just talked with a representative in the Admissions Office. Sounds like the main accepted students day for everyone is April 9th, which coordinates with the Diversity Life Weekend. That Saturday will likely be structured with presentations, etc. I have written an email to see if there are other visit options for accepted students in addition to the big Candidates’ Day on April 9

I always wondered if Lehigh was informally evaluating the kids for merit awards when they attended Diversity Weekend. Of course, I can’t be sure. My son went to Diversity Weekend years ago and was given a merit scholarship.

I would hope that merit scholarship decisions would arrive with the acceptance letters in March, and not after the Diversity Weekend in April. That would be really late.

Accepted to diversity weekend! I’m not even sure if “diversity” has to do with state because I’m a white female from california, and my state isn’t underrepresented at any college/university! Whatever the case I’m honored and happy. Hang in there to those who are still waiting, I wish you the best of luck

D1 received thin letter in the mail last Saturday, It is an acceptance, not a likely letter. It specifically said “We are sending this letter to you in advance of other candidates…” To invite for diversity weekend April 8-10!

So decisions will come soon, hang in there. Good luck to all, I know waiting is hard.

Accepted via Diversity Life Weekend by email! 30 ACT, 3.5 UW 3.7 W URM!

@collegebound1516 are you considering Lehigh over GWU?

Apparently, they don’t have as many females as they would like to have on campus.

When schools keep the numbers balanced the school becomes more attractive for both girls and boys. Girls may not want to be the only girl in their classes, and I am confident that many boys don’t what only one girl in their classes either. Lol

Anyone know when the RD results should come out?

they should be out the 24th

I am guessing from last year

@Lana22 It all depends on financial stuff, Lehigh doesn’t have the greatest merit so that sucks. They’re really different schools but in the end it really all does come down to $$

Just got this email right now:

Looking for information on what the “Diversity Life Weekend” entails? Received my early acceptance letter the 15th… looking for some insight.

I also got accepted around the 15th for the Diversity Life Weekend. We got accepted earlier because the deadline to sign up is like March 20-something. I signed up already. I was hesitant because it sounded awkward (like “Diversity Life, really? Because I’m black?” but I’ve heard that it’s just a way to get to know the school and increase enrollment, ,and that people of all colors and backgrounds are invited.

I had another question. I’m still trying to finish my tax return information through filesender, but they’re not accepting my Non-Custodial Tax information! I’ve sent it twice. There’s no income or taxes to report, so I used the IDOC non-tax form. I used the non-tax form for my student tax returns (I don’t work so I have no taxes or income), and that went through. They’re closed on weekends and I haven’t been getting home early enough to call them before their office closes. I’ll be calling in Monday, but will this really hurt my financial package? I’m of high need and I’ve heard that they’re promising to meet full need beginning the 2016-2017 school year. I used the net calculator for Lehigh and their package looks AWESOME. I’m just seriously worried because it’s such a nice school that I could actually afford.
