Class of 2021 Decisions

Thanks!! @loop2loop I’ve heard of a lot of great students being denied from USC honors and with an pre-IB major, I’d have to be in honors (to be funneled into the IB major) or else I’ll end up doing to the same thing your son did. I’ve got lots of other great choices at the moment but we’ll see I guess!!

@sfaulk She actually received her acceptance packet about 2 weeks ago. I heard somewhere that they’re doing everything in batches this year for some reason.

Hello!

Congratulations to all accepted students!

My daughter also applied by the 11/15/2016 deadline, unfortunately we did not submit all test scores. We did submit the ACT score but not the SAT score. She is still waiting to hear back.

Does USC requre “ALL” scores to be submitted by the 11/15/2016 deadline for honors? She did state that she took the SAT on her application. Kicking myself for not being more involved and reading the instructions more carefully.

Worried mom.

I got accepted two weeks ago, but it’s been taking me awhile to post my stats!

Residency: In-state

Congrats to everyone! Also, is it true that Palmetto Fellows Scholars automatically qualify to be Capstone scholars?

Their application says they require all test scores. Not sure how they would really know, but maybe it would be wise for your daughter to send the remaining scores so her application is full?

Hi there and congratulations! When your packet arrived, was it the typical “larger package” for acceptance and a “smaller envelope” for a deferred decision?

Acceptance packet was a large envelope with “YES!” printed on the outside.

@tjraub1011 Have you heard anything yet? We are in the same boat!

@amber69 I actually just heard back today! I got accepted!

We are still waiting no big or small envelope - I hope others in NY, NY and CT are with me!

Anyone know when we might hear about honors? Does the fact that I received my acceptance is the first batch mean I should get my honors decision in the December batch as well?

Got in OOS! UW:3.7 W:4.2 ACT:26
My major is Sports and Entertainment Managment. I have taken 6 AP classes and 3 community college classes! Hope that helps.

@NYmom1313 We are in KY and haven’t received anything either for my D. I think I saw on their twitter page that they started sending them out on the 9th. More are being sent out this week. Hang in there! Fingers crossed.
