Does anyone know how Montclair decisions go out, I saw a few acceptances so I’m assuming rolling but am not sure.

My son applied and was accepted to Montclair by snail mail in January as undeclared. He auditioned for the acting and mt programs on campus Saturday 2/18. He received an email that Monday 2/20 accepting him to the acting program. He was waiting for an official rejection for MT. He called the first week in march to make sure they had all his paperwork etc… and they confirmed they did. They asked him which program was his first choice…he said he thinks MT. He received a snail mail letter 3/ 8 accepting him for musical theater… a little weird and mysterious but he’ll take it. hope that helps!
So I finally bought the plane tickets for California so we can visit LMU and have my D shadow a student at CalArts. It’s her spring break the week of 4/10 so it’s the only time we really can travel across country! I called CalArts today to set it up and they tell me that it needed to be done before the accepted students day on April 8th! Yikes why the heck didn’t they ever mention that??? The woman said she would see what she can do but my D will most likely not get the full experience because the students are going into finals week. Not much I can do about it anyway at this point it is what it is 
Yay! D got a YES from Pepperdine! She is so happy! First audition-based admit besides LMU (which was video). She had been focusing on straight acting because she is interested in film, but for this audition she sang which is her strength and I think helped her application! So nice to have a YES!!!
If anyone out there is looking to put in another application, Hofstra’s deadline is April 1st. Their program is a BA with the ability to audition for the BFA the second year.
My D just heard from her last college, NU, accepted for Dual Performance Degree, Bienen School of music BM vocal performance and BA theatre. What a nice way to end this very very stressful process.

My D still refuses to apply to the school in the same town as her high school. Apparently the need to go away - even if only as far away as Manhattan - is extremely important. She said she’d rather “pretend to be happy” to go away to a BA program than go to MSU for a BFA, even it it is a terrific program.
Well, okay then!

For people adding in last minute auditions is it still possible to be considered for scholarship or has that window passed?
I had to literally drag my son to Purchase for a visit…15 min away from home…He did a walk in audition, was videotaped and refused to finish the application. He said why waste the app fee.He did not want to go there. Period.
He did not really want NYC either, where he has spent the majority of his time. He wanted a campus experience. I guess I should be thankful he has a clear vision of what he wants and does not want.
I dragged my D to Purchase as well…it’s a little over an hour away. She ended up falling in love with it to my amazement and it became a top choice. Unfortunately she didn’t get into the BFA only the BA.
Anyone have any experience with UNCSA, in NC ? You are some of the wisest, kindest and knowledgeable people. I I have learned so much about drama schools, and applications by following this blog.This momma is new to theater world and trying to learn about the UNC school of the arts, program, professors, campus ect. Your thoughts???
