Can someone explain how they’re using this USPS thing? Also, does it cost money to sign up?
@ArtAesthete google USPS Informed Delivery and go from there…
Do they superscore the ACT composite when they show admitted student stats?
Everyone that is asking about USPS. Just go to USPS.com and sign up for “Informed Delivery”. Once you create and account and verify your address, you will be able to see all mail pieces that are scheduled for delivery today and all packages that have been scanned and scheduled to come to you in the future (under the packages section). It doesn’t cost anything. Though, people have said that it takes a few hours for information to start popping into that.
@kitkat2018 I’d say southwest or west.
Thank you! @csekar15 and @PPofEngrDr
Were you checking before and that just popped up a few minutes ago or do you think it’s been updated like that all day? @quadaces
does washu send a rejection letter in the mail? could the USPS informed delivery be a rejection?
If they do, I doubt it would be a package, just a little envelope
@capitalsfan123 no, no.
The comments here are insensitive, thoughtless & somewhat baseless. You never get a “created a label” notice in USPS informed delivery. Informed delivery sends you an email every day with a scanned copy of all mail items & link to packages. IF you happen to have a tracking number for USPS, you will see “label created,” but not without a tracking number. For all of you very talented and qualified students, take this discussion with a grain of salt. Insensitive individuals are fueling the competitive fire. Best of luck to all of you – and SHAME on you to the people stirring the pot. This is a tough time for high school seniors – no need to add to the stress.
How long does it take to update the USPS information regarding packages? I just made my account!
@capitalsfan123 Highly doubtful that they would send a rejection by trackable mail. If anything, that would be a “Dear John” letter in a small envelope. Even that, I don’t think they would. If there is a package coming from Wash U, I’d be willing to bet that it is an acceptance
It will take a few days. You need to disregard all of the comments today. Completely false.
As someone said earlier, if it was scanned After 7 AM, it will appear tomorrow. I feel like out of the 2000+ packages being mailed out, some are bound to be scanned after 7 am
@realmom22 USPS updates its’ packages section as soon as the package is registered and a tracking number is generated in the system. For e.g., I have two packages coming to me (one from Georgia and one from somewhere else). But, both have been showing on my dashboard for a few days now and have a future delivery date. So, if you see a tracking number (I don’t have one) from St. Louis area that was created today, there is a very good chance that it is good news from Wash U. At the same time, not having anything there does not mean “rejection” (my hope is that too). It might mean that they haven’t put your package together and scanned it in.
@realmom22, USPS does update informedmail when a new shipping label is created for trackable mail and it will be seen under packages tab. I see one for me created around noon today from St Louis MO. We live in the south
So are you guys thinking 5:12pm EST for decisions? tht was the time last year
@realmom22 No offense, but lots of people have reported seeing that in their USPS account. What you are saying a daily delivery may be a just batch delivery for a day on day of delivery, however what people are talking here is they see in real time in their USPS account for Informed Delivery, not necessarily meant to deliver today or tomorrow, as it doesn’t provide that info yet.
