Class of 2023 MT Artistic Acceptance Notifications: How/When/Where

Nicely done @musicman970 When did you audition?

@SuperDooper I did a walk in at Chicago Unifieds

@musicman970 - congraulations!! How many students does Viterbo take - I read is was pretty small - maybe 14 or 16?

Arizona has begun to make phone call acceptances.

@MThopeful99 on the first page of the portal you click application status which should be right under where it says admissions and to the left of the box that says my admission applications. Then a new page willl open up and will show a box listing your application type Musical theatre BFA. At the bottom of that box there will be either 2 or 3 choices. View application data, view credentials and if a decision has been made it will say view decision

@carriemc95 Arizona State or UofArizona?

@mtmom1967 Univ of Arizona

@carriemc95 Thanks! Had a little panic attack…

@32barMom I recently received an offer for Viterbo as well and have been corresponding with the head of the program as I have a LOT of questions. He said they aim for a class of 12-14. I don’t know how many students they accept to yield that number but I would assume it’s probably around 30? It’s a great program but I think the location deters some people.

Anybody hear from Montclair State or Wright State?

A friend’s D was accepted to Montclair last week.

@Divamamacita
My D has NOT heard from Montclair State but she only auditioned last weekend.

Montclair seems to be rolling.

@TexasMTDad I think you’re right.

@Divamamacita I heard from Wright State on Monday via snail mail but I was also the first audition so they might send out early audition answers slightly earlier? I know they are no longer rolling so I would assume you’d hear soon!

@NYart15 We are still waiting for Montclair too. Auditioned at Chicago Unifieds, towards the end of the week, I think. It is all starting to blur together.

Know 2 ppl accepted into Montclair- both boys.

Note - there’s a cross-reference list by date for those who self identify as "date anxiety "sufferers on p. 18 of this thread. Thanks CaMom13

Mid-day Updates 2/28
• Added Arizona State
• UAZ notifications have started
• 2/28 is the date UMich called accepted students last year - so this year could be 3/1? or 3/8? Probably a Friday
• FSU - from Michele (All4FSU) “We did make calls yesterday. We will not be calling anyone else today, but there is an alternate list. The alternates will receive a letter which I expect to arrive in mailboxes next week. To be clear about the numbers (although I know it doesn’t help psychologically) we had 252 candidates pass the prescreen. We made 18 offers, NOT including the 2 students who accepted offers from the summer intensive. The total number of students accepted this year is 20. The students auditioning did exactly what we asked of them; they made it hard for us to make decisions. I always end audition season awed by them.” Thanks, Michele!
