Class of 2024 MT Artistic Acceptance Notifications: How/When/Where

Just wanted to add, when you consider how many of the 1400 at U Mich are girls vs. boys, the acceptance rate for girls is MUCH smaller, while the acceptance rate for boys is MUCH higher.

When people talk about “odds”, they need to remember that it is NOT the same odds for boys and girls.

@DivaStageMom - if it helps, my D got that same email to ‘monitor her portal’ at BU, and that decisions would come on 3/21

@legitmt OCU still has auditions this coming weekend so I don’t think there will be movement off the waitlist until after that.

The Big List from late March 2019 and all 2019 information is in [BRACKETS]. Things may be different for 2020 - when you update with 2020 information, please remove everything in brackets and note the 2020 date in your update. Thank you!

Does anyone have any guesses on notification dates for Pace, Baldwin Wallace, or Wright?

@BrennaK if last year is any indication, BW would notify around 5pm This Thursday. AT the audition Victoia Bussert said early March, did not give a specific date…I believe they are on spring break next week so, one might conclude that this week makes sense but not sure

So far S has:
accepted to LIU Post and UAB and some local (NOLA) schools
waitlist at Molloy and Ohio
a lot of no’s.
Feeling happy to have choices.

I just got confirmed by the recruitment coordinator at IL Wesleyan that the decisions are in the mail. Drum roll…

Has anyone received a snail mail decision from University of Arizona or do all decisions come via phone call and email?

When - or is it even- is it acceptable to start emailing schools and asking for a timeframe - for those doing rolling admits whose auditions are complete?Why should this process be in the dark? For the amount of time/energy the kids put in and the $$ the parents lay out…I truly appreciate the schools that let you know exactly their process. Sorry, a little bit of a vent (wrong forum) with a legit question…

@IStressSoDWont Good question! I’m very curious about CCM – my D is waiting for her Design & Production result…and it sounds like most of the performance results have gone out already.

@PNWdrama My D heard from Arizona by e-mail. (She’s D&P, though, so YMMV.) I believe she received a follow-up by snail mail, but I’d have to check The Pile to be sure.

We just received a no from Texas State via a message in Accepted. My D didn’t seem heartbroken or super surprised so I am grateful for that.

Has anyone received a NO or wait list from Indiana?

Any info on Abilene Christian Univ?

@ElizaDoolittle - so sorry!

@MissyNNT - one of my kids auditioned there but has not heard yet!

@Loganator I’m curious… what does “She’s D&P, though, so YMMV.” mean???

@SingerDancerMom D&P = Design & Production? YMMV = Your Mileage Might Vary : )

We are still waiting. D auditioned on Feb 9.

@StanfordAI2019 - I knew it was a generic email - I just thought it could be worded better - like “keep checking” like taunting me - IDK everything is on my last nerve lately - :smile:
