My D has the funniest comment about not getting into CMU. (Sorry to keep sharing these, but they are golden)

“Dad, I know why I didn’t get into CMU. I didn’t adhere to the song length guidelines.”

“Oh really? Did you go too long?”

“Yes, I should have just sang “50 bottles of beer on the wall, instead of going for the full 100.” ??

@StanfordAI2019 Ha ha ha!!!

@StanfordAI2019 I like your daughter!!! LOL!! She sounds like she has a penchant for comedy…

@onette - oh definitely. I should send you some of her short films she’s done. They are hilarious. She takes after her grandfather (my dad) quite a bit. He played baseball AND did MT in college (before they really had specific programs), and toured as a Stand Up comic for a while in the early 70’s.

@ElizaDoolittle, congratulations on Pace!!! When was your D’s audition with Pace?

NO from CMU from Email directing to acceptd…nicely/kindly worded, 12 noon EST

@StanfordAI2019 did she look at Emerson? They have a very strong comedy program (as well as MT). One of my kids was very interested in it, but none of the auditions at Unifieds got to include the comedic monologue they were asked to bring (his didn’t, anyway). I know they have sent people to Second City and SNL from there…

Shenandoah calls are starting to roll out.

Still crickets from Indiana at our house…

Over in the theatre major thread someone posted that Penn State was starting to notify. I have a dear friend with an MT D who checked her portal today and heard a “no” there, so MT must be notifying too. That is all I know - I don’t know if this is a slow rollout or what. Good luck everyone!!!

@StanfordAI2019 I adore your daughter so much. That CMU response is terrific.

@moosegirlemy2 Crickets from Indiana from 2/8, crickets from Wright state Nov audition, crickets from Ball state from Chicago Unifieds…

@onette - oh yeah. She auditioned for Emerson at Unifieds

@moosegirlemy2 Just got the Indiana rejection via GetAcceptd. Not 10 minutes after you posted about crickets.

Is there any more chatter about university of Oklahoma … searching cc I can’t find much and I’d like to know more about it. They were at all unified auditions weren’t they?

@BlessedNStressed - Coastal usually notifies yeses via email. They have Showcase tomorrow and then Spring Break next week, so betting they will be coming out after Spring Break. (Which is their usual modus operandi).

@stagedoormama Thanks.

Congrats for the folks getting Yes this week and prior. I know there is a happy artist attached to that post, and y’all… believe me… that makes me so happy right now. Keep the sharing coming. We’re here to cheer you on.

Any one have any details on Point Park decision/notification status? I thought they said they’d email decisions all at once in mid-March, but a couple of people mentioned hearing about acceptances last week.
