Hi everyone. I’m having a bit of trouble picking classes for senior year. (I’m currently a junior.)
Currently, I’m taking:
AP Lang
AP Phys C
APUSH
AP Calc BC
AP Chem
and I used to take AP Span 4 but I dropped it so I have a free period
For senior year, I plan on taking five classes and a free period again.
I am definitely taking AP Comp Sci A and AP Econ.
My main question is whether or not I should attempt Spanish 4. I dropped AP Spanish 4 because it was too hard and the teacher is irrational (plays major favorites, says the n-word in class), so I would 100% not have passed the class. The same teacher is teaching Span 4, but the material should be easier, so should I take it or not? Keep in mind that I haven’t practiced spanish for a year and that my family doesn’t speak spanish at home. If I don’t take it, then I’ll be taking Honors Anatomy instead, and I think that course is more important.
For english, I am having trouble deciding between Advanced Comp and AP Lit. Based on this year, (AP Lang is the only class I got a B in) I know that english is not my strong point, and my focus is to math/science, not english, so I don’t know if it is worth it to take AP Lit. The only upside I can see is that I’ve already read many of the books we need to read for AP Lit.
My school offers AP Stats, but my counselor suggested that I should take a math class at a community college, so I’m planning on taking either Elementary Differential Equations or Introduction to Linear Algebra at a community college. The thing is, I have to take five classes at school, so should I take AP Stats anyway?
So yeah. Hope someone can help.
