class space question

I want to transfer into SBU in fall 2012.

However,

"Also a good question, Inquiry. In that case, it's more a matter of time than anything else. Once we're full of qualified applicants, we'll close the class; so I'd get your stuff in as soon as you can and trust that the process will work.

As far as where to send stuff, the address is on the admissions page, yes.

It seems weird.

Assuming there is only one open seat available for transfer students, does it mean a lower GPA applicant who applies early can beat a higher GPA applicant who applies later due to only one open seat available?(Suppose both of them are qualified applicants with 3.0+GPA,24+credits..)

Good question. It doesn’t work like that on a micro level, though. However, a person with a 3.0 who applies before March 1 will likely be admitted, whereas a person with a 3.8 who goes to apply on June 1 might be too late. (If they both apply before the deadline, they’re both likely to be admitted, depending on major.)
